A-U-G-U-S-T Reading Challenge

Our challenge this month is twofold…



1. First, read books that spell out A-U-G-U-S-T. You can use character names, book title, series title, or author's name.

2. But, to make things just a bit harder, use ONLY books that are on your "dusty bookshelf." That is, books that have been on your to-read list for more than two months. We all do it…add books to our to-read list that we mean to read right away but end up pushing back for something else that comes along. So, no new releases for this challenge!

You can post your books now or post as you go, but don't start reading until August 1!

Remember, this is just for fun so if you don't make it that's ok!

I don't have any 'dusties' because I only just this month started adding books to my TBR list.. but I'll use books that have been sitting on my poor bookshelves at home for a long time.

A- Clan of the Cave Bear - Jean M. Auel (This has been sitting on my bookshelf since two Christmases ago! Shame on me!
U- Under the Eagle - Simon Scarrow (Bought in a used bookstore back in January or February.. and never touched.)
G- Wolf of the Plains - Conn Iggulden; Main Character: Genghis Khan (Also a Christmas gift from an unknown year)
U- Uglies - Scott Westerfield (This one may or may not actually belong to a friend.. and I may or may not have borrowed it a long time ago intending to read it immediately. And I may or may not be from a completely different province as my friend who I may only ever see again for a brief time in September. So I need to read it.)
S- The Summoner - Gail Z. Martin (I'm not sure when I bought this book but it was before I returned home from University in April, so it is at least that old. I seem to remember buying it the same trip that I went to the mall for a movie, possibly the Hunger Games? Anyway.. I have the whole series sitting awaiting my reading.. so might as well start!)
T- Wizard's First Rule - Terry Goodkind (I've been trying to start this series for SO long. At least as long as since the T.V. show has ended. What is that.. a few good years, at least? This is a good excuse as any!)
