I read it because he's Aussie and the book is set in Australia, where I think his others are set in London or there abouts... and when I enjoyed it so much, I decided to read more. But haven't yet! I listened to him speak at the Newcastle Writers Festival earlier in the year:)

The Kult by Shaun Jeffrey
This one had been on my to-read list since 2011. I think the title and the horror label put me off, but it's more dark thriller than horror and a great story.
