You seem to be ploughing through some of my favourite bands of all time: e.g., the Church and Echo and the Bunnymen.

Likewise, Ian - and same re. The Church and Echo and the Bunnymen.

I love Echo & the Bunnymen. Someone stick it in Spotify for me, please!(Oh, and the others...I'm only skimming through this quickly because I'm getting ready for work. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club is good, too.)

I haven't checked back through all of the contributions here to see if someone else has said this (apologies if they have) but while looking through Listen to This, by Alex Ross I found several references to The Master and Margarita in a piece about Bjork. She likes the novel a lot although I don't think she has recorded any song that refers to the book. But perhaps Earth Intruders from Volta could be included.

Pearl Jam is playing outside my apartment atm. I can hear them pretty well - no need to buy a festival ticket.
Great additions, Mary. I'll add them to the playlist.

Nope - all I can see is a huge "electro-music" tent in front of my building. And since it's a ticketed festival, they have double fences and barricades all over the place to obscure sight lines if you haven't bought tickets. But I can hear very well. They sound really good.
I think the concert is streaming. http://www.madeinamericafest.com/ They are only playing for another 30 minutes, though.

Oh, that's perfect! I'll listen in a bit after finishing up some more reading.
"The Rolling Stones classic, with images of the 2005 Russian mini series adaptation of the novel 'The Master and Margarita', which the song was based on."(This song is already on our list, but thought I'd share the video. 1:15sec it gets awesome)

Wow, Mary! Agreed with you and Gary - the video is awesome!
I think Nataliya has a link to a version of the mini-series (possibly condensed). I may have it somewhere, and will post if I find it. Looks like must-watch TV to me...

"The Killing Moon""
Perfect -- added it.
