I'm almost afraid to axe about it.

I'm not looking for any treble - I hope he won't be sharp with me.

OK, I'll try not to fret.

message 56: by Ian (new)

Ian "Marvin" Graye | 68 comments Don't we need two frets to make accord?

At first I was wondering what knowledge you were bassing that on, but I have decided to bow to your expertise - you wouldn't string me along.

message 58: by Ian (new)

Ian "Marvin" Graye | 68 comments I'd challenge you to a pizzicato competition, but I'm so tired, you'll have to pluck off first.

I'm wondering how I would staccato up to your competition.

I'm sure you've indulged in more cardinal syncopation than me.

message 73: by Ian (new)

Ian "Marvin" Graye | 68 comments You need no bow to play an oboe, or mouth to play an organ (unless it's a mouth organ).

Traveller (moontravlr) | 13 comments Bulgakov must be a great cymbalist. I wonder if the fact that he used composers' names for his characters is cymbalic in some way? I wonder if i'll ever scale the depths of meaning of his works...

Stephen M | 50 comments Speaking of Gogol Bordello, here's a song from the Everything is Illuminated Soundtrack:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_g3-e3...

Gogol is the band in the movie and the lead singer plays the main character Alex. Fun movie. It is quite premium.

Yeah, since its the language that cues on how to play your music is written in, (Andante, adagio, allegro, piano) slow, fast, softly etc, punning around in musical terms will tend to bring out the Italian. If you didn't do music as a subject, you might fall by the wayside, sorry for that.

Do we really need to adhere to such string-ent requirements as sticking to English when conducting a conversation? Don't fret, sir, at least we've got pluck.
Did our pitch wind you?

Stephen M | 50 comments Ha, I was hoping the irony would peek through with my "treble" but yeah, I'm familiar. I took my fair share of piano lessons. I meant it only as a joke, maybe I should have left the doorian closed and not interrupted the comedic masters. Hopefully I'm not stringing you along. I might be scaling a bit too high here.

Yeah got the treble. Tubad if i trebled the waters and percussed the harmony between us. I think my accent might be the problem, so I'll give it a rest now.

Listening to my library on shuffle, which is how I get from The Warlocks to Joni Mitchell. This is such a haunting song. I haven't listened to it in years.

I love The Raveonettes - they are great live, too. Lust is one of my favorite songs from them.

The Warlocks have some good albums out, and they are really fun live too. I really like that effect-pedal-driven, fuzzy psychedelic feel. If you liked this, you may like some of the bands I included on an 8tracks psych mix - http://8tracks.com/by_starla/behind-t...

I need to make some new mixes - it's been a while.
