For sure. I've heard good things about Wonder. And Night School has the whole paranormal boarding school thing going on which is almost always something I like. So, I'm excited to read it. I'll let you how it all turns out ;)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments I'm starting Dearly, Departed (Gone With the Respiration, #1) by Lia Habel today. So far, the Victorian steampunk thing is good and the world building is awesome! Hoping to be finished by Monday and on to Partials (Partials, #1) by Dan Wells by then --

I just finished Unearthly! I read it but am now listening to Hallowed (Unearthly, #2) by Cynthia Hand on audio. Like it so far! Also listening to Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver . It's a bit too teenagey for me, but I'll keep at it.

Jen, thank you, thank you, thank you! I was able to listen to Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver on my car stereo today because of your help! I was having to hold my Nook or phone in my lap just to hear my book before. Now with my new iPhone and your help, I was able to run errands and actually hear my book! WOOT, WOOT!

You know, I checked on the audio from Overdrive @ my library - they only have Hallowed (Unearthly, #2) by Cynthia Hand on audio! What is up with that? No audio for the first or third books, but one for the second? Crazy.

Denise (eendenise) Started today in "De Verrekijker" by Van Kooten, a Dutch we could get free by buying another book. It's a "boekenweek geschenk" which can be translated as a book week gift. Do you have something like that? We have a bookweek every year haha and well today we can travel by train if you have that book with you and I had to go to Amsterdam by train so I thought "let's give this a try"...

I did not love Northern Lights like a lot of people did. I am not into religion in my books so I think that was most of the problem.

Graceling is on your list Jen?? It is excellent on audio IMO.

message 2234: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 2372 comments I was disappointed by Divergent and Before I Fall. Looking for Alaska was ok but nowhere near my favorite John Green (Fault in Our Stars and Will Grayson Will Grayson have that honor :)

message 2235: by Bethany (new)

Bethany | 171 comments Just finished Night School (Night School, #1) by C.J. Daugherty last night. It was interesting. I kept expecting it to be paranormal, but it wasn't. Not sure how to describe it exactly. And it left a LOT of questions unanswered.

Now I'm about half way through Sweet Evil (The Sweet Trilogy, #1) by Wendy Higgins and I'm shocked to say that I don't hate it. I'm really not into the fallen angel books, with very few exceptions (Unearthly, Angelfall). So it's surprising me how much I like this book...hope it ends well.

I have a long drive (about 12 hours) on Friday, so I'm saving Unearthly (Unearthly, #1) by Cynthia Hand and Hallowed (Unearthly, #2) by Cynthia Hand (got it from the library) for that. Also saving Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout for the trip back. Currently LOVING Dearly, Departed (Gone With the Respiration, #1) by Lia Habel ! It had me laughing out loud last night! Great story!

Rereading Silence (Hush, Hush, #3) by Becca Fitzpatrick today. This is definitely my favorite book of the first 3 books in the series! I forgot how good it was!

And then I can FINALLY read Finale (Hush, Hush, #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick !!

Finished Finale (Hush, Hush, #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick today, and it was a pretty good ending! Although I think it could have used another book to the set the war up better! IMO

Started rereading Partials (Partials, #1) by Dan Wells today, and I'm about 24% of the way through so far.

Its that good...but I'm also rereading it because its been a year since I've read it, and I want to read the sequel soon. Also a bunch of the group is doing a buddy read, so I thought I would read with them!

message 2248: by Jen (new)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments Well, I was going to join the buddy read of Partials (Partials, #1) by Dan Wells , but it's still on hold at my library. So instead, I'm going to start on Everneath (Everneath, #1) by Brodi Ashton and Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1) by Kristin Cashore . That should get me through to the end of the week and hopefully some painted kitchen cabinet doors. Every updated thing in this house has a book attached to it -
