Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments Ida, I am loving it. Looks like it is a one off, not a series. So will finish a story in one book....what a concept

message 15954: by [deleted user] (new)

It is a standalone yes, sad but it fits. Having it as a one off.

I think the 3rd or 4th book is when I really started enjoying this series. I was doing lots of eye rolls during the 1st book, but eventually got sucked in. ;)

That looks interesting, although the cover doesn't seem to match the story at all. ;)

Finished Ten Thousand Skies Above You (Firebird, #2) by Claudia Gray and I loved it, 4 stars. This one explored even more moral conundrums than its predecessor! Another action packed read, while Marguerite explores even more strange universes.

Catherine Bruno | 771 comments Ok so after Queen of Shadows, Little Brother wasn't doing anything for me. I'll probably try it again later though. I just picked up some new books from the library and I'm going to start with The Sword of Shannara trilogy.

Harlee--It took awhile to get going for me. Once you start getting to know the characters, and they start planning "The Heist" it gets really good!

I finished Erased (Altered, #2) by Jennifer Rush and gave it 3.5 stars. This series is worth reading for the action alone! Great action, and fast moving story!

Next I'm rereading The Human (The Eden Trilogy, #2) by Keary Taylor

How's The Grownup by Gillian Flynn . I can't decide if I should try it or not. I really enjoyed her other books so wondering if it's the same twisty style. :)

I haven't, but I've heard not great things about it :( I'll probably read it at some point, but my library has it, so I'll just get it from there.

That's what I was thinking, I might actually like it..sometimes I disagree with people a LOT. I tend to like a lot of books that others don't, maybe just because I like so many different types of books, genres and stuff. And I loved The Testing trilogy, so I really do want to try it.

message 15986: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinsiem) | 409 comments I just finished Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater. A part of me is officially dead until April 26th when The Raven King is released. At which point I will probably be all dead because I don't know if I can handle this. So. Damn. Good.

Anyway, while that tiny piece of me is dead in waiting the rest of me is going to try and continue to function. So I shall be starting Passenger by Alexandra Bracken next.
