I loved Cress! I hope Winter lives up to it. I did not love Scarlet but I think it was mainly because I am not a fan of Scarlet the character. She annoys me.

message 15409: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I have heard really great things about Cress. I'm excited to get to her story but I am loving the characters right now.

message 15410: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Oh, yeah, no rush. Cress is great, but linger in this one for now. Man, Winter better be amazing haha. It's hard to imagine it not being really good though.

message 15411: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I'm so excited for it and I still have to finish Scarlet, Cress and Fairest. :) I'm enjoying every word.

Initially, I liked it more than Cinder, but as time went by it didn't stick with me the way Cinder and Cress did.
Still 5-starred it and don't even kind of hesitate to restate that it was a 5-star book for me, but the other 2 just stuck with me more. Especially Cress.

I listened to Molly Fyde on audio. I liked his Half Way Home by Hugh Howey better. I'll be interested to see what you think since I know you read that one too. By the way, I heard Hugh is planning a sequel to HWH!

Yes, I loved Half Way Home too :) And I also heard about Hugh's sequel, can't wait! In the meantime I'm part of a group writing some Half Way Home short stories that will be published next year. We got Hugh's approval! I'll let you know what I think of Molly Fyde :)

I liked Falling Kingdom, it didn't blow my mind but it was still enjoyable. I just feel like I've read it before kind of thing, you know? Plus, I don't know why I'd pick up Rebel Spring after I finished Queen of Shadows. Waaaaay too similar.

Okay, finished the following the last few days:

Rebel Mechanics (Rebel Mechanics, #1) by Shanna Swendson 3.5 stars
While I loved the reinventing of the American Revolution and the Steampunk vibe, the romance seemed very juvenile, and it wasn't hard to figure out the twists. Enjoyable read if you like Steampunk/Historical Fiction!

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover 4 stars
This was my first Colleen Hoover book, and I loved it! It somehow seemed so different than most NA I've read. Her writing is BEAUTIFUL, and I was sucked into the story so easily!

Finished my reread of The Bane (The Eden Trilogy, #1) by Keary Taylor 4 stars. Here's my original review if you're curious: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Again by Lisa Burstein PIFM book. 3.5 stars
Even though I didn't find this story realistic at all, I still enjoyed it! I didn't like the MC, Kate very much, but I did really like Carter!

Page (Protector of the Small, #2) by Tamora Pierce 4 stars.
I am really falling in love with this series, and this world! Keladry is beyond awesome as an MC. I'm officially hooked to Tamora Pierce!

Currently reading: Beastly Bones (Jackaby, #2) by William Ritter Vengeance Road by Erin Bowman Browsings A Year of Reading, Collecting, and Living with Books by Michael Dirda and going to be starting Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1) by Amie Kaufman soon!
