yes, I tend to mark several books on goodreads as currently Reading but most of the time its more these book I plan to read. in the sense that I mostly only read 3 books at the same time(one in bed, two in the living room). Usually one book I read lots of chaters in and one I read slowly, and a Third I swallow(start and finish in same Reading).

Yesterday read Captive A Guard's Tale from Malachi's Perspective (Guards of the Shadowlands #1.1) by Sarah Fine which was really awesome to get Malachi's perspective.

Also read Uninvited (Uninvited, #1) by Sophie Jordan which I really liked, except for the ending...that ending was a little anticlimatic, but I will read the sequel, to see what happens. Its a cross between Pushing the Limits and The Darkest Minds.

Next is Defiance (Defiance #1) by C.J. Redwine in honor of CJ Redwine's Q&A this week!

high five, I thought I was the only one. it sometimes feels like lying, but mist of the time I finish a book and them go on to another book half an hour later, so its easier that way. This way I can just like you say mark finish when I logg back on and the book am currently Reading is alredy marked as currently Reading.

XD I do it a lot when I get a new library book, or books I'll load 'em all up and mark 'em down as I finish them... Seems to just make it go faster.

I only have The Lady Of The Rivers at the moment, though The White Queen is in the mail (hubby ordered it for me after I was pretending to sulk that he got a new monitor when his died the other day and I wasn't getting anything; I really was just playing). I had The Lady Of The Rivers for Christmas... Really loving it! I plan to get the rest of the series as soon as I can, and read more of her books.

I did not love it like most others on her . It was a lot of talk and not enough action for me and the characters were a little one dimensional for my tastes.

Victoria, I started watching The White Queen on Starz, and after the first episode bought The White Queen (The Cousins' War, #1) by Philippa Gregory . Then after the TV series ended, bought The White Princess (The Cousins' War, #5) by Philippa Gregory . And I guess that's when my addiction started. I read every book out of order (although they really are stand alone books so it didn't matter). Then ran through The Tudor Court until The King's Curse was released. Some I liked much better than the others. Didn't like The Kingmaker's Daughter as much, or The Other Queen. But loved all the others!

By the way, NICE hubby! :)

I believe that's a certain edition, Storm. I have the original hardback of the book, and it has no short story in it either.

Storm Arashi (stormarashi) | 1130 comments Jenny wrote: "I believe that's a certain edition, Storm. I have the original hardback of the book, and it has no short story in it either."

I think it is a certain edition, as well but it is weird because when I bought it in 2013 (before if I recall right the Bane Chronicles had been released) it had been a week before City of Bones had hit theaters. It even says on a little annoying permanent sticker that it was included on the front. Little frustrating but like I said it won't deter me from reading this series... And I do plan on buying the Bane Chronicles eventually anyway so it doesn't bug me THAT much. Just drives me crazy when a book promises something then doesn't deliver.

Victoria, I'm so excited that you have all those books to look forward to. When I finished the very last one, I was so sad that it was over.

I just found out that Wolf Hall (Thomas Cromwell, #1) by Hilary Mantel is going to be BBC series so I bought that book last night. I already have Bring Up the Bodies (Thomas Cromwell, #2) by Hilary Mantel . I don't think anything can top The Cousin's War or The Tudor's Court, unless Philippa Gregory decides to stay in that time era and write another series. *fingers crossed* But I am still obsessed with that time period for some reason so am looking for more books of before, during, and right after King Henry VIII's era. Anyone else have suggestions?

I haven't read much fiction based on that era, though it is one I have an interest in. Most of what Ive read about the Tudors has been non-fiction. So, I wouldn't mind recommendations myself!
