I have no shame Karen.

message 1002: by Lola (new)

Lola (lolasreviews) | 563 comments I just finished Ghost Hand (The PSS Chronicles, #1) by Ripley Patton and it was really good. The story is so good and original and fast paced. Although in comparison the characters and world building could've been done a little better.

I totally LOVE St. Clair! I'm on Lola and the Boy Next Door. Not that far in...And I like it, but it's taking a bit for me to get into.

I'm not quite so sure about Lola yet. She is too Obsessed with some one named Calliope and the Bell twins. That's getting kind of annoying. Cricket has yet to show up in the book. I hope it gets better for me. :-)

It is a much slower mover than Anna if you ask me. I still enjoyed it but as I am also short and love messy hair so my heart is with St. Clair

Good, it's not just me that noticed the slower pace.I'm short too, and normally, I like men, 5'8 and taller...but, because I love St. Clair too, he would make me want to date a short man if he was as wonderful as he is! lol...

message 1007: by David (new)

David | 9 comments Just finished reading The Moon Dwellers (The Dwellers, #1) by David Estes which I enjoyed thoroughly! I just posted a review an hour or so ago, if any of you would like to check it out. Next on the list is A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan . Not YA, I know but I got it from the library based on a friend's recommendation. Then I'll circle back to more YA, I'm thinking Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher but this could change.

Today I finished The Raven Boys (Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater , which was good, and The Diviners (The Diviners, #1) by Libba Bray which was amazing, and The Crown of Embers (Fire and Thorns, #2) by Rae Carson which I really really loved!

Next up is Article 5 (Article 5, #1) by Kristen Simmons

Lol that's too bad! The Raven Boys was different, but I liked it! I mainly liked the characters, and the mystery element with magic was fun! I didn't really like the ending, but its a series, so maybe better things are around the corner!

YES! I can't wait for Requiem. Tried so hard to get an ARC but I wasn't successful :( A lot of people were unhappy with this book. But I loved it. I loved Lena's growth. Thirteen Reasons was one of those books that everyone loved but me. I thought the female protaganist was seriously unlikeable therefore I could not muster alot of sympathy for her. Kids are mean. Such is life.

Lola (lolasreviews) | 563 comments Contrary to Jenny I didn't like Article 5 (Article 5, #1) by Kristen Simmons , but that may be just me. It was too dark for me with too many gruesome details and I just couldn't get into the story. I did manage to finish it, but ended up giving it 2 stars

Hmm dark and gruesome huh? Sounds intriguing! Lol, I'll have to meditate on these contradicting opinions ;) Or I could just read the sample and see what I think from that!

message 1042: by Caedy (new)

Caedy Eries (karida) | 151 comments Am a fan of dark and gruesome! I will have to look into Article 5 (Article 5, #1) by Kristen Simmons . But, for now I have my hands full with:

Schooled (Lexy Cooper Mystery #1) by Christa Charter

and

Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor

Plus a handful of other books that I've got from the library and are coming in from the library on delivery in the next couple of days. *cough* I need to sprinkle some of my AR&Rs in there too and get those done. Including the ARC for Pantomime that comes out in the next week.

Katelyn Broad (katelynb) I'm listening to Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) by Leigh Bardugo and reading The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2) by Rick Riordan . So far so good with both. :)
