I wonder the same thing Jenny. I think it has been abandoned and that is a shame because I liked School Spirits too! I wonder why she came up with two different series back to back like that??

She has said that she has ideas for more in that series(with izzy) but that will come in the future. she does not have time for that atm.

Hmmm...maybe she just got tired of writing in that world, and wanted to do something fresh. I do hope she finishes School Spirits, though, I did like it!
Could be. Maybe the idea for Rebel Belle popped into her head and that is where she followed. I also hope she returns to School Spirits at some point. Here's hoping!
Finished
which was unbelievably SAD...not sure how much it will pertain to the last book. I'll let you all know if it does.
Also finished
which I overall really enjoyed. Very creepy book!
Now going to read
and also rereading

I gotta say Graceling is my favorite. That's a book I can reread over and over again and still love as much as the first time :)

Brew I've just started David's new series. So far so good. Is it just me or does Rhett remind you a little of Mr Blue Eyes himself? ;)
It is really funny how some love Graceling and some love Fire. I think it has something to do with the main protagonists personality. I love Graceling but just thought Fire was ok. I think it was because I loved Katsa. She was a super independent kick ass kind of gal. I think those who loved Fire really liked her personality - the reluctant hero who is kind of unsure of herself. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time! Either way I highly recommend Graceling on audiobook for those who could not get into it in print. It has a full cast of narrators which takes some getting used to but I think it totally works.
I think that's a good assumption, Heidi. I LOVED Fire, she was so awesome! I loved Katsa too, but I think my fave thing about Graceling was Po :) I really did love them both, but Fire just a bit better!
Good point, Heidi! (And I am also on the Po loving bandwagon) :) I think I immediately liked Katsa because I like my heroines badass and independent whereas Fire's strength was all mental. She definitely grew on me though and by the end I loved her...and Brigand. But still not as much as Po lol
I actually haven't read Graceling; I'm going to after Fire, and then (after Graceling) I'll read Bitterblue. I heard it doesn't matter what order you read them in?
I feel like you can get away with reading Graceling and Fire out of order but I would definitely read Bitterblue last. Again, I'm not too sure it matters, but that's just what I recommend :)
I'm reading Brew Just passed the harrowing first few chapters. Blimey David, you don't pull any punches. Just wish I didn't have a huge Xmas shopping list to wade through between fitting in my own writing or I'd be curled up on the sofa galloping through it :)

True,it does not matter which order you read fire and graceling in but bitterblue has to be last. It spoils the other two a bit.

Fire is my fave of the companion trilogy. I think its because fire eases more into the plot, while graceling jumps in. Graceling was a bit confusing for me for about half of the book, while Fire was not confusing at all.

Too much talk, not enough action.

Since I last commented I finished:
which I really liked. Kind of a really intense drama in space. It felt more "grown up" to me than most YA books I read, but I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a change of pace.also,
a graphic novel that takes place after the end of the TV show. If you watched the show, I recommend this. If you haven't, I recommend watching it, then reading this. Love this series in all its incarnations :)I'm now reading
I'm a little less than halfway done. Not much of a clue what's going on, but I'm liking it. The intense scenes are like :O

It's really good Storm. Not your typical YA.
Heather wrote: "I'm reading
