Cindee | 331 comments I'm reading The Eye of Minds I'm having such a hard time getting thru it. First I was confused, then I got into thinking this is awesome, and now Im stuck again wondering why Im reading it again, like I've forgotten why the characters are on the journey they are. And i'm not even half way thru it, already anxiously waiting for it to be over so I can start something good. However, its not so terrible that I want to just stop mid way....so frustrating lol

message 7309: by Divya (new)

Divya Am reading Open Minds (Mindjack Trilogy, #1) by Susan Kaye Quinn , Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor and Tithe (Modern Faerie Tales, #1) by Holly Black

Steph is: Pageturning578 (stephw1991) Has anyone read Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi I am about 30 pages in and I am having such a hard time getting into this book. I don't know if its because I have been reading contemporary novels the last few weeks. But usually by this point is a story I have an understanding of what is going on. I'm still as confused as I was when I started the book. Does it get better?

message 7311: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments Under the Never Sky has a rather mediocre plot. It's not very exciting for the most part.
HOWEVER, the ship is fantastic- I finished it only because of the main relationship.
I think you should keep going.

The first third or so of this first book is slow BUT once Aria & Pery meet up and set-off, the story picks up and the pace picks up a lot. This is actually one of my favorite dystopians. The books get better and better and the story is fantastic! Hang in there and it will payoff :)

I had the same issue. I didn't get quite as far as you but I put it on hold for now because there's so many other things I honestly want to read. Plus I've heard so many good things about the book/series it's not one I want to leave unfinished.

kynndra-jo (charlietanghoe) @Jenny; Oh man, David has such an ability to make me fall in love with the male characters he comes up with (Roc, Tristan, Circ, Raja and Trevor!) They are all in their own way entirely woo worthy. I cannot wait to delve into the mind of Dazz! Such fantastic books and characters. Love them all, the girls included (Adele, Tawni, Elsey, Siena and Skye!) The characters are just so easy to grow attached to.

Oh yes, I agree. Each of the dwellers and country folks each have a twist of their own language and terms of which I absolutely think is amazing. It just shows the diversity of where they come from and I also think it's very creative and cool c:

Katie.g Just finished the Sun Dwellers which was amazing! I read the first couple of Fire Country chapters which only sparked my interest for the Country Saga even more. Unfortunately I have about 30 books on my ereader to read so I don't want to add any more to it (I have no will power :/ )so I'm reading The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet. Over 800 pages!

message 7345: by Kaylani (new)

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 297 comments 'have about 30 books to read on my ereader'

... is that a normal amount of to-read books on an ereader? Because both my nook, kindle and just random epubs laying around to read hit.. umm... we'll just say over 400....

And that doesn't include the print to-read books I have which is likely a good 100

message 7349: by Kaylani (new)

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 297 comments I stalk free kindle/nook deal sites like the plague though and download anything I think I might find remotely interesting. My phone has both the kindle and the nook app. I have a nook, and I have the adobe reading app where I can put any epub on my nook. Or read it on my computer. And I have the kindle app on my computer as well. My phone or ipod are almost always with me so I read a lot in doctors offices on those if I don't want to bring a print book or finish the print book I brought. I have a lot of appointments which sometimes have 1-2 hours between them where it doesn't make sense to go home and come back.. so then I sit with a drink and read until my appointment. If it is a fast reading day with no interuptions I can sometimes do a whole novel between appointments, even if I get seen early.

message 7350: by Kaylani (new)

Kaylani (cityeclectics) | 297 comments Yeah. my kindle device manager thing on amazon says I have 453 books total but I've only read around 25-30 of the books on my kindle storage so far.

My nook likely has a similar amount but I have read far more of them and archived a lot of them because they have been read.

And as far as epub copies on my storage go.... I know last time I compared I had probably 4 times the amount of random epubs than I did in my amazon account minimum. :x
