:) No problem! So the way it works is that the Dwellers trilogy and the Country Saga are separate characters and plotlines, but then they all come smashing together for The Earth Dwellers :) I hope you enjoy it too! Fire Country is priced at $3.99 everywhere in ebook form. Thank you so much for all your support!

I wouldn't think so. I started many book series late. I.E. Read the first Harry Potter book a week before the fifth movie came out. And, honestly, still my favorite series. Just read it up when you feel like it. I only read Cinder, but I can't stress how much I loved it.

Gahhh Monsters of Men! *Cries* What an ending, huh? (Also, if you didn't know already, Patrick Ness also wrote some Chaos Walking short stories, which are also really good!)

message 7083: by kynndra-jo (new)

kynndra-jo (charlietanghoe) @Bridget; Oh my gosh, The Chaos Walking series is a gem, the last book was unbelievably good - as was the rest of the series. The short stories are really good as well. I'm still on my book hangover from that series. It's so awesome to see so many fans here!

message 7089: by Jen (new)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments I'm about 75% thru Cress (The Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer , which imo is the best of the series so far. I started it on audio and the switched to print and then switched back to the audio. I have the first two and I'll definitely be buying this one when it goes on sale.

I'm about halfway thru Blackbird House by Alice Hoffman , which is a series of short stories. I kind of feel like I'm reading stuff for school. Maybe that's why I like YA so much - adult fiction is nice once in awhile but it feels like I should be way smarter and picking up on themes and style and all that - I mean really, I just wanna be entertained. Does this make me a shallow person? I think not and thank you all my YA loving friends for what I know you're thinking!

Getting ready to start Dealing with Dragons (Enchanted Forest Chronicles, #1) by Patricia C. Wrede as a "buddy-listen" with a friend from BookTube. Both she and Emma (daughter #2) have been annoying the heck out of me to read this series. Apparently it's not as juvenile as I originally thought.

I also have a couple of ARC's from Netgalley - mainly NA, one is terrible! Definitely not my genre (more adult romance/military guys who've been genetically enhanced, kind of like Altered (Altered, #1) by Jennifer Rush but with adults doing adult things) - not really my thing. Kind of stupid, more like a tv show or movie. I may DNF that one . . .

I'm also committed to starting Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Harry Potter, #2) by J.K. Rowling this week on audio! And when I finish that I'm going to start The Mists of Avalon (Avalon, #1) by Marion Zimmer Bradley on audio (50 hours of listening time - that one's going to take awhile). Please someone tell Karen so I can get out of trouble for wanting to chop up the print book into bookmarks. I repent! I'm reading it!

message 7090: by Heather (new)

Heather (hersecretsmile) | 290 comments Christine wrote: "What's that book about?"

The main character sent a nude photo of herself to her boyfriend, they had a messy breakup and in revenge he sent the picture to some of his friends & it went viral. So it's basically about the consequences Ashleigh, her family and her ex experience and how she bounces back from the whole ordeal.

I started it, but haven't finished it yet, exactly for that reason. I do want to finish it eventually though. I will say that Ashleigh's parents are a whole lot more likable and supportive than Valerie's though. Jennifer Brown is a fantastic author though and manages to tackle these subjects in a way that a lot of authors aren't able to do.
