Marcia Men (goodreadscommarcia_men) I'm reading City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments #5) by Cassandra Clare and I'm a bit underwhelmed. I liked the first three in the Mortal Instruments series, but I found the fourth, City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare , to be a little repetitive - and the characters have acted a little... well, out of character, if that makes any sense! Anyway, don't wanna leave the series without knowing its final, so... onward with it!

I'm glad you liked it better than I do. :) I absolutely adore the writing style, but I'm not at all a big fan of the demonic imagery. But that's just me. :)

Darn, I've heard great things aobut The Diviners! I just picked it up from the library today!

message 675: by Mara (new)

Mara (maraanne) My two star rating is mostly based on personal like and dislike. If you don't mind a lot of demonic imagery and an Author who interjects her personal opinions a lot, then you'll probably really enjoy The Diviners. Because it definitely isn't boring, and the writing style is amazing; I just don't like excessive demonic imagery and a spouting of personal opinion in a work of fiction.
