I finished both Rematch (pretty good, was a quick read) and Enders, which was crazy!! Loads of surprises throughout the story. I'll come on and leave more comments in the buddy read later tonight, have 4H tonight!

I started
yesterday and it is really good! Karen, I think you'd really like it. It's not YA - all about zombies with light horror/gore. I'm finding that I like spending time with these characters. It's 3 POV's and Emma Galvin is doing the younger teenaged girl - the other MCs are a 30ish man with a daughter about 6-7 and a 30ish mother with 2 girls, one a pre-teen and the other is about 9 I think. Really, really good.

Hmm well, I'm hoping it gets better. After I was immediately sucked into Pivot Point, the beginning of Perfect Ruin has been really disappointing. I keep zoning out and having to re-read parts. Just seems like a bunch of already-done dystopian elements patched together haphazardly. So far there's no real hook and I'm a bit bored. Unlike Wither, which I really enjoyed (despite its worldbuilding flaws), I'm struggling through Perfect Ruin :(

Aw, man! That sucks. It could be just the comparison to Pivot Point, its hard when you finish a book you really like, the next book sometimes suffers by comparison!

I am liking it too :) I am more than halfway now. I am intrigued with this planet. A lot of whys, whats, wtfs!
just started reading The Declaration by Gemma Malley. finished reading the killables by this author too which was pretty decent. In The Declaration, in the future people are not allowed to have children and if they do they're banned, and if the children are caught they are raised to be slaves in some way, its pretty interesting.

I read that series a while ago and enjoyed it. It was one of my first series after reading The Hunger Games and discovering Goodreads. :)

last night for the buddy read. I had already started
and had thought I'd put it away - but it's too good! (both audio, of course). So I'm doing Angel by day and Independent Study at night. Plus the two ebooks, one I'm reviewing and one beta read. Good think I'm packing boxes for the girls cause I can have my earbuds in as I do it. They're moving tomorrow and I'm helping because as we all know, I don't move enough . . .

I am fascinated by the cult Scientology and have been reading books by people who have "blown" the organization and told their stories. This one is especially fascinating, includes information about the church and celebrities.

There are people raised in this religion with no education, no jobskills and are so invested in it they feel they cannot leave. Their families and friends are in the church too and if they leave they will be disconnected completely from them. Amazing how rational people get into the cult. I will be back to
