Personally, I find the straight mysteries more forgettable.

I actually quite like it when Eve and Roarke butt heads/fight. Well, not the fighting, but seeing how they work through their issues. One of the things I love most about this series is seeing how their marriage develops, so those struggles are very important in strengthening their relationship.
And of course, the side characters are all AMAZING! I want Nadine and Baxter to find significant others... :) Especially Baxter. Can you see him wrapped around some woman's finger? Oh, the squad would make so much fun of him! Heehee!!



When I look back at those I consider to be on my top ten list, they all seem to be those where the mystery was interesting AND there was a major storyline involving one of the recurring characters. They had a pivotal moment or something devastating happened to them.
