I love her Stephanie Plum books! I think the first one is actually my least favorite, even though it's really good. I like the tension between Stephanie and Morelli in the later books ;) Oh and Lula

So far I like this one but I'm not crazy about it. But that seems to happen with every paranormal/fantasy romance I read these days. It feels to me like they're always okay reads but they're never great or horrible reads. They also all ''feel'' the same, the only thing that changes is that sometimes they deal with vampire, sometimes it's angel, mermaid.....So far, I feel like I'm reading another version of

.But one things I really like in this book so far it's the humor.Especially p.63. Emma's mom is hilarous in that page!

was a re-read though that I read with Louise before starting book 2. Not going to be starting book 3 very soon now. hoping that
was just second book syndrome, but boy was it dull.
Hope your current read gets you out of the bad book cycle, Sarah. It's awful when you can't get past bad books. A couple of month ago, i read 10 bad books in a row, thought i'd never leave it!

I just finished a really weird retelling of The Little Mermaid. It was good, but the main character seemed a little nuts.

I also liked the movie but didn't love it. That being said, the book really made me want to watch it again!
I haven't rad anything else by the auhtor but
Janet Evanovich seems like one of the authors to go when you feel like reading something quick and fun.
