Exactly. He's done horrible things, but he's also been a victim his whole life.

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments I bought You Don't Have to Say You Love Me by Sarra Manning yesterday and then stays up all night reading it. The two main characters really don't like each other much when they meet, and I liked how the author took time to develop their relationship.

Also.. Still reading Cinder.

I loved You don't have to say you love me! And Unsticky by the same author is just as fabulous but deal more with what I would call a weidly healthy ''bad romance''.

Marie | 257 comments I'm reading The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking, #1) by Patrick Ness and it's amazing but I put it on hold to read Reckless (Thoughtless, #3) by S.C. Stephens .Oh Kiera.I always took her side for the first two books but she really gets on my nerves in this one when it comes to Griffin. Yes, Anna is expeting his baby and seems to have strong feelings for him but she never asked him to settle down of even asked him how he felt about getting serious so he doesn't have to be faithfull to her unless she aks him to. He's going to takeresponsibility when it comes to his child anyway and that's what really matters. Still, since it's a romance book he'll probably become almost perfect when the book will be done anyway. And what really bugs me is that she doesn't realize that whathever is going on with Griffin and Anna, it's their business and not hers. She's not in a position to judge him or to criticize him, Anna is.I needed to get that off my chest!.

I read it years ago, but I liked The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera . Have you seen the movie? It's really old...I think from the mid-80s.

message 1176: by Marie (new)

Marie | 257 comments It's been a good week-end when it comes to reading: I've read My Soul to Lose (Soul Screamers, #0.5) by Rachel Vincent , Soul Screamers Vol. 1 My Soul to Lose • My Soul to Take • My Soul to Save by Rachel Vincent Vampire Academy The Graphic Novel (Vampire Academy The Graphic Novel, #1) by Richelle Mead Star Crossed (Stargazer, #1) by Jennifer Echols and I'm currently reading Soul Screamers Vol. 2 My Soul to Keep • Reaper • My Soul to Steal by Rachel Vincent .

Star crossed was good but nothing special. Proably my least favorite book from Jennifer Echols. Vampire academy was nice and a quick read. The first volume of the Soul screamers was reall good and really addictive but the romance was so rushed and cliché. I didn't feel any connection between Nash and Kaylee except their paranormal ''connection''.

And I'M about 50 pages in the volume two and arghhhhhhh. In the first 2 books of this series I was pretty indifferent to Nash but now I hate him a little more each chapter. I agree with him that Kaylee shouldn't try to saves everyone but still,he never wants to help anyone! She always has to convince him. Also, I hate how he pressure her to have sex and gets mad at her... And from what I understand from the spoilers I've read , he'll only get better(sarcasm!). I'm thankfull that I've read spoilers about the rest of the series because the romance would have been a big turn off in this series and I'm not sure I would have kept reding the series if it wasn't from those spoilers.

message 1177: by Kyra (new)

Kyra Finished The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera + Forsaken (The Demon Trappers, #1) by Jana Oliver . Now Stray (Shifters, #1) by Rachel Vincent , I hope I like this series more than the last series I read from Rachel Vincent (Bloodbound + Shadowbound), because that was annoying. I did like the Soul Screamer series though.

It does get better and better (from what I've read so far). I just finished tome 3 and I never thought I would say that but, I actually cried while reading the last few pages! Only a tears or two but I just felt for what Kaylee was going through.

Marie | 257 comments I'm reading If I Die (Soul Screamers, #5) by Rachel Vincent and I'm loving it. People were right, that series really gets better and better.

I'm also reading Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1) by Cassandra Clare and to be honest, I don't really know how to feel about it yet. While there's nothing wrong with it, I'm not a huge fan of the writting style (maybe it will grow on me ) and I think the story is quite boring. Then again, I'm only half way though the first book so maybe it will get better for me. Anyway, I'm still gonna kept reading this series if it doesn't because I also got Clockwork Prince on my shelf and I really like Will.

Kyra Finished Stray (Shifters, #1) by Rachel Vincent . I really enjoyed it, I think it's the best series of Rachel Vincent and I'm really looking forward to the sequel ! (: Luckily, the series (already) contains six books.

Now that I've read a really good book, I'm going to make myself read Rapture (Fallen, #4) by Lauren Kate , just to finish the series. I loved it in the beginning, then I read Fallen again somewhere last year, and I was like 'what was I thinking?' Hope it's not as bas as I'm expecting it to be.
