Marie | 257 comments I'm almost done rereading The Iron King (The Iron Fey, #1) by Julie Kagawa . I do like it better than the first time but I'm not crazy about it. I think I'll like the other books better since I'll learn to care more about the characters along the series I guess.

Sandee, since you have read fall guy, can you tell me, why, exactly winch is so needed? What does the family do? Are they some kind of mob? It was not clear at all in the book and I'm getting no clear answer in Perfectly Unmatched. and why is winch's family so controlling? man, I have like a million question about it!

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments Kyra, I think you love dystopian more than I do. ...I got about 2/3 through that one. I can't imagine being male and living in that world! I'd go insane for sure!

What do you think ? I just finished it and posted my review.

Now starting Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout . I hope it's not too 'mushy'.

Kyra Greta wrote: "Kyra, I think you love dystopian more than I do. ...I got about 2/3 through that one. I can't imagine being male and living in that world! I'd go insane for sure!"

I guess I do haha. A quarter of my books are dystopians.
I like that Ness didn't have complete sentences of thoughts, that's just not realistic.
I would go insane too ! And you can't escape 'cause there are animals everywhere. Have you also noticed the absence of ants and other insects ? I thought it was pretty funny that sheep only thought 'sheep' haha.
What made you stop ?

Have you read Obsidian (Lux, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout ?

message 726: by Greta (last edited Jan 01, 2013 04:07PM) (new)

Greta (goodreadsgreta) | 4545 comments I have read Obsidian, and like the series a lot! Daemon is annoying in the first book, and Katie is annoying in the scond, but overall they are a really great book couple to read about! Especially Daemon! I didn't think they were too mushy...actually a lot of the humor between them is because they are so sarcastic with each other.

If I tell you why I stopped reading, it would be a spoiler :(

message 748: by Jess (new)

Jess I just finished "Vain" by Fisher Amelie. HOLY COW! If you haven't read this book, you need to. It is breathtakingly beautiful! The story starts out pretty typical...but the story takes a serious change of direction. You will absolutely fall in love with the characters and you will feel as if you are absolutely apart of their world. You will learn how to be a better person and you will begin to think that perhaps you really haven't done much with your life. If you're up for a fantastic story about second chances, growing up, maturing, and throw in an adorable and breathtaking love story -- this is the book for you! I highly recommend it.

message 749: by Jess (new)

Jess I'm onto Callum & Harper by Fisher Amelie next. :-)
I think she's become my new favorite author! :-)

message 750: by Brooke (new)

Brooke (brookeluvsbooks) Just finished Through the Ever Night and if you haven't read it then you should it was soooo good. Tomorrow I'm going to start Storm in the morning.
