Loving how emotinoal this one is. I really like it, so glad I put down
to read this. It was starting to irritate me how slow it was going.
, I forgot to add :) I'm currently reading
, which is hard to get in to &
. I've read the first 40 pages and I'm definitely not impressed.
Thesse few past days I finished
and I loved it. I'g getting really addictied to Sophie Kinsella's books.I also read the four prequel novellas in the Throne of glass series
and oh....what a dissapointement. I thought the writting was really bad (it felt like I was reading a fanfiction) and the love interest was boring and not a well developed character ( If felt like I never actually knew him. Instead. It felt like the author was telling me I know him. I get it. The main character has know him all her life. Good for her. I didn't! Also, I know why but he never felt real to me. Maybe that has something to do with the writing). I'm now really exited about
that I'm about to start....I know most people has loved it and I was really exited about it. But now that I've read the novellas...I don't know. We'll see. Then again, after reading such an incredible (and a little bit similar) book like
, nothing will compare.I also started or restarted actually
. I had already read the third of it last year and loved it but then I cleaned my ipad and lost all my books and never took the time to read it again.
I never bothered with the prequel novellas for the throne of glass series, I'm not the biggest fan of novellas. I really liked Throne of Glass though, so hopefully it will be better than the novellas when you eventually read it!
I'm also not the biggest fan of novellas but I decided to read the novellas because from what I had heard, Sam was such an important part of the main character story. I guess it did helped made me understand her better. But I don't brother often with novellas too usualy. Unless I really love a series ( like Under the never sky). They're never as good as books (or almost). I'm sure Throne of glass will be better than the novellas the only thing that really scares me is that while novellas aren't as good usualy and are different from the books of series, the writing style is similar and I really didn't like the writing in the novellas. But I know that the author has worked a long time on her series so I'm sure she got better. Also, maybe I'll just get used to her writing style! It happened before after all!
I'm still exited about Throne of glass. The plot sounds good and I do love the main character. I can undertsand why many people hate her but I find her different and a more layered character than many characters in y.a. books.
I remember liking Celaena, she was intelligent and strong. I'm looking forward to the second book in the series now ☺ Hopefully you'll like it more than the novellas.
can't believe the turn
took. it started off so well, then went totally nuts. I really need to know if there's going to be a third book cause this ending sucks.

Thank goodness it looks like there will be a third book! that means that the ending really was a cliff-hanger. i still don't like it though.
I am reading
and just about to start
I am worried about Name of the Wind and Storm of Swords being too similar but reading both books with different people.
I'm starting
the formating is a bit odd on the review copy though, so it's really difficult to know who's point of view each chapter is from until you get to a bit with a name!

Finished
. I did not enjoy that book. At all. I'm forcing myself to finish
& ten short stories by F. Scott Fitzgerald, otherwise I'll never get around to it.

Both books were alright. they remind me of the film 'john tucker must die', although there's a strange paranormal element to them that doesn't appear until right at the end of the first book.
They're both really drawn out for the amount of stuff that actually happens in them too, and both end with cliff-hangers.
I'm reserving judgement on the entire series until I've read the last one though cause this could be a real hit or miss for me. The paranormal element didn't fit in well in the first book, although it wasn't so out of place in the second.

another long one. I seem to be having a run of longer books. this one and the sequel total 1000 pages.

I got a bit irritated with it when I realised that we were reading what 'might' happen rather than what 'was' happening.

yeah, i was a little bummed, but I thought it made for such a cool premise to the next book.
Read
and loved it. It had one of my favorite ''cute'' moment in a Sophie Kinsella book.I also read
and it was a million times better than the novellas. The writting was so much better and so more more mature and engaging. Also, the romance felt so much less rushed (probably because the writting was better).I've also just started

I'm still on chapter 1 though. :)
Really not impressed by this girl's mother, she seems really calous and unfeeling, and pretty selfish too.
I'm reading Wuthering Heights. It is for school and it's probably the craziest book I have ever read!! If you enjoy a book about revenge and love triangles you should read it!!
I read a retelling of wuthering heights last week
, it was a big old mess! I'm considering reading the original to work out what was supposed to be going on!
