I go to thrift stores a lot, but oddly enough I've only ever bought a handful of books from any. You're right though, the quality is surprisingly high. Some bending on the soft covers, but aside from that, pretty good stuff.

Angela(demonsangel) Fitzgerald (demonsangel) | 74 comments Okay, well that's an easy question and I'm extremely happy with the books that I have bought. I have to brag and I'm not the bragging type but y'all asked, lol.

Here I go.... Angel Evolution (The Evolution Trilogy, #1) by David Estes Demon Evolution (The Evolution Trilogy, #2) by David Estes Archangel Evolution (The Evolution Trilogy, #3) by David Estes The Moon Dwellers (The Dwellers, #1) by David Estes The Star Dwellers (The Dwellers, #2) by David Estes The Sun Dwellers (The Dwellers, #3) by David Estes The Earth Dwellers (The Dwellers, #4) by David Estes Fire Country (The Country Saga, #1) by David Estes Ice Country (The Country Saga, #2) by David Estes Water & Storm Country (The Country Saga, #3) by David Estes

I have a few more books in paperback and hardcover but I was really happy and thrilled with these. I actually bought them for my sixteen year old daughter. She's never read a dystopian before and I loved The Moon and The Star Dwellers so much I wanted her to have them all. My daughter also writes freestyle poetry and she's currently writing two different books. I hope to her work published one day. Her first book does have a name and it's called, You Were Her Missing Piece. Thanks so much for introducing me to your books. I hope Haley enjoys them all.

message 2519: by Angela(demonsangel) (new)

Angela(demonsangel) Fitzgerald (demonsangel) | 74 comments Honestly, I had been so broke even before Christmas. I guess tax money came just in time when David let people know he would be selling his books. I'm extremely thankful that the tax money came when it did. I didn't want to pass up these books for her.
She deserved it and really more. When I say broke, I'm not even lying. Our Christmas wasn't a Christmas. We didn't celebrate it, not giving presents anyway. We were fortunate enough that a few special ladies that are authors got together and sent a Walmart card for food to cook Christmas dinner. They also were nice enough to give me a $100 Amazon gift card. My daughter wanted a cheap laptop or netbook. Amazon recommended the wrong item. She wasn't even able to download anything on it. It was made for browsing the internet only. I had promotion money I'd been saving to go with that gift card. Finally, I think at the middle or end of January I was able to get her a laptop. I didn't know that once you use your promotion money from Amazon, it's lost, non refundable, and no exchanges for something different. It's just gone. But, my husband still hasn't found a job and I paid bills with our tax money except for those books and my daughter's prom dress. That's life and I was fortunate that there's still people with a heart out there. Thanks again David. We are going to do a buddy reads on them. Of course I love that because that's bonding time with my daughter who's almost ready to move from home. She turns 17 on May 20th.

Just bought Throne of Glass, Crown of Midnight and The Winner's Curse in the sale on Amazon UK. Also bought The Sun Dwellers and Dreams of Gods & Monsters which were both full price but I don't want to wait forever to finish the series. Looking foward to starting on them soon :)

Angela(demonsangel) Fitzgerald (demonsangel) | 74 comments When you all ask about what books have you bought lately, what type of books are you asking about? Are you asking about the actual physical books, Kindle, Audible, or what? I do get a lot of audio books but right now I'm getting ones to listen and post reviews for the narrators or authors. Normally, I do check to see what the group has bought and if it's on Audible, I always get them. I listen to a variety of genres and if they're not YA then I don't post that I'm listening or reading those. My favorite genre is YA, especially shifter books. Yes, I would love to know what type books you are asking about when you ask what books have you purchased recently.

I usually name the book I'm reading on my ereader, the physical book, and the audio I'm listening to, Angela, because I seem to always have more than one book I'm "reading". ;)
