I don't think it's YA but I have seen it as YA before. But it is an incredible dystopian tale! I have the Nook version, AND the hardback! But to get the audio for $.99 you had to have the Kindle version. $2.98 for an audio! Yea!!

I don't remember swearing, David. If there is, it's not enough that I noticed. I'm also not a fan of swearing or sex scenes. I think that's why I like the YA genre so much! Reading an adult novel has me cringing throughout, these days.

Well, after all of your comments I just got the free copy of for my kindle. Super excited to be able to get it for free first. So if it's good I'll go back and buy the rest. I hate buying a book until I know I'll like it, but man, if I like the first book in a series I'll buy everything I can get my hands on, lol. My copy of the Hunger Games trilogy is still sitting unopened cause I bought it after reading a borrowed copy.

I think it's only on sale on Kindle, Jenny. $5.99 is the regular price. The omnibus is made up of 5 books that started as a short novella. It was so popular, the author caved and wrote more.

He was an indie like our beloved David and Wool was the book that changed everything. One of the big publishing houses picked up the publishing rights, Ridley Scott - "Alien" - optioned the movie rights... And Howey kept his ebook rights! It's an unheard of deal and it's made him millions. This was all a year ago or less.


I have the book on Nook "LendMe", Jenny!! It's really 5 books, so it's long, but you're a speed reader! I think I may have Wool book 1 also on LendMe. I did what Sherry did and got that one first.

You have gotta be kidding me. You never finished The Passage? Wow! It is something I would have thought you'd enjoy. That was one of the first books I listened to after re-reading The Hunger Games. Loved it - hated The Twelve, though. It's been awhile since I've read it, so maybe I've blocked it all out (lol).

A Monster Calls and Crazy are two of my 5 star books (and I have less than 20 - 5 star books!!)
