I just picked up a few bargain books from BAM:
AND...
! Caragh will be at the Tuscon Book Festival next week!!

AND...

Cost me $35 bucks because of the goddamned librarian at my school accusing me of spilling coffee over one of the books I borrowed... I was so pissed off that I pledged to never borrow and instead buy my own books....*frustrated*

Jenny I listened to

and Raven Boys series soooooo much more!

Jenny I listened to

I've been going a bit nuts getting ready for the book festival next weekend. This week I got
and
for Caragh O'Brien to sign. She did a Q&A in our group last year and was amazing. And then I got to know her a bit more when she joined in for David's Facebook launch party of Strings. Jenny contacted her to let her know we'll be at the festival and she was so happy to be meeting us! Well, to be meeting Jenny! ;) By now, they're besties! Sooooo excited!
Also got
and
for Sara Raasch to sign. And yet another copy of
for Diana Gabaldon to sign (I'm taking 3). I think I may do a giveaway of a signed Outlander book on my bookstagram feed. ;)
And I also got
and
for a buy 3 get one free sale! Outlander was one. I got The Road for free! ;)

I'm SO EXCITED to meet Caragh, that's actually the author I'm most excited to meet at this event! Rae Carson is right behind her ;) And I'm sure Caragh is just as happy to meet you too, Karen!! :)

That stinks! It's so expensive to buy books. I only rented books from the school library for research papers. It's expensive to rent textbooks too. There was one time that I had a biology class and they had a special condensed version of a text book. Basically, they just took chapters out of a full textbook and made a special one for my school. At the end of the semester I took the book back to get a refund. They would not take it back because they said they weren't using that book anymore. I couldn't sell it anywhere else because it was a bio book with my colleges name on it.
There are so many people borrowing the library books so how can she prove it was you that spilled the coffee? Everything involving school text books is frustrating.

AND...

I have the Edge of Always but still haven't read it. I really liked the first book Edge of Never. I wish she wouldn't have written a second book. I don't feel that there needed to even be a book two. It's just unnecessary drama in my opinion and those two went through more than enough in the first book.

At least you got a few books on sale. I still miss Borders book store. They gave good coupons and it was easy to find stuff. I always have trouble finding stuff in Barnes and Noble. I usually just get e-books now because they are cheaper and nice when you can't get to a book store.

I love BAM! It's basically our replacement for Borders. Their bargain book section is Hal the store, and their yearly membership is cheap and I get tons of deals and coupons from them :)

I usually get e-books because they are cheaper and you get them fast. I just don't like that the covers show up black and white on Kindle Paperwhite. I wish the covers were in color.

Huh! I hope you are liking it! You'll have to let me know how it goes, and I'll let you know about The Dark Days Club. :)

I don't think it's the 8th book per se; it's the script for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It's about their children, and yes, it is official canon. J.K. Rowling confirmed as much, and she's releasing the script since not everyone will be able to go see the play. I don't think she wrote the script herself, but she collaborated on the project or something. I'm not really sure, all I know is I am a combination of excited as hell and nervous because if they ruin this, I will cry.

I think I saw something about the book coming out in June or July I believe...I think I was trying to pre-order from Barnes & Nobles actually and that's where I saw it. I did she that it was a collaboration with one other person I think. Should be interesting.

Three cheers for discounted books!! :)
I never buy hardcovers full price, I love paperbacks and I have a kindle too so I just keep a look out for prices.
I hardly ever buy hardcovers period. Just dont care for them.. Have brought more of them lately tho.
PLuss paperbacks are always cheaper.

Hi Aasha and Marylene,
Thank you so much for clearing that up for me. I'm not sure if I want to read that one or not if J.K. Rowling didn't actually write it. I worry that the story will get messed up but it would be nice to see more of Harry and the gang if they don't get messed with in the story. I'm on the fence about this one.

Do I shamelessly talk about this book all the time? Yes.
Is the book awesome enough to warrant that? Yes. Yes it is.

I try to buy paperbacks but I usually can't wait for them. I'm way to impatient to wait a year for the paperbacks to be released. ;)
