Mods pick: This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith
For buddy I have this: Suddenly Royal (Suddenly, #1) by Nichole Chase with Tatiana, we already made the thread.
Dystopia: Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth

And I have ideas for the others blocks

Are we allowed to reread a book for this challenge?

message 7110: by Inês (new)

Inês | 583 comments You can reread one book I think, but only one. You choose the box you tick off with it.

Hi Heather, how about you list what books you would like to read and I'll see how it ticks off on my board. I haven't planned out which line to do yet so I'm fairly flexible :)

So far I'm leaning toward first column and/or fourth row

I am pretty much aiming to make a star around buddy and I only have books picked out for Purple Cover, Set in the past, Title that starts with your initial, and First in Series. I could also do the Vampire square with Blue Bloods (Blue Bloods, #1) by Melissa de la Cruz

Ooh I haven't considered a star formation. Nice :P I don't think I'll be able to read that many hehe

Unfortunately I've already assigned some VA books to a few categories incl. the vampire one.

What's your purple cover and title that starts with your initial? Because I might do Unearthly for purple.

Btw I posted this on the rules forum but I asked
whether for buddy reads we needed to tick off the same square. E.g. I could tick off the book for Paranormal and you can tick off for First in Series but it's also counted as a buddy read for bonus points. Still awaiting a response though

message 7128: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments mine is Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson because the actual book is purple and My initial is H so i am going with Hades (Halo, #2) by Alexandra Adornetto

message 7129: by Inês (new)

Inês | 583 comments @Christina: Well, there is a thread for daughter of smoke and bone but I think they're planning on reading the sequel soon. If you have time you could asked them now, if not I'll just asked them tomorrow 'cause it's kind late in my place of the planet and I'm gonna sleep. 'Night :)

@Heather I'm not up to Hades yet so can't do that one and Wintergirls not high on my list atm. Good luck :)

Blue Bloods.

And I really don't think Wintergirls will work for the purple cover. When doing cover challenge, it always means the front cover of a book, not the color of the hardback book.

I'd like to buddy read Prodigy from Jan 8th for the bookish blocks challenge :). Is there a buddy reads thread made?

message 7139: by Mei (new)

Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments Noella, there is already a thread for Prodigy. You can just ask a mod to change the date for you. :)

I can onyl find a greyish blue one (The german one) which wouldn't count.
The original cover will count for the "blue cover" block though.

The cover that is listed above it just has a dust jacket and the actual book is purple

Screw that square then because if the actual book cover doesnt count then what does

message 7146: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 91001 comments Mod
the book under the dust jacket could be any colour Heather, it's the actually book cover picture as seen on goodreads that counts. Abbie will be back online later and she'll decide then, its her challenge.

message 7147: by Abi (last edited Jan 06, 2014 06:05AM) (new)

Abi (abi_gr) | 27659 comments Heather, Sorry, but that wouldn't count.
If i asked for a rainbow coloured book, and someone gave me a black cover, and said that, it was rainbow underneath, i wouldn't know, unless i have the same edition.

message 7148: by Sarah Elizabeth (new)

Sarah Elizabeth (bookworm_sarah) | 91001 comments Mod
If you really don't have another purple book maybe you could post a picture of your book without the dust jacket on it?

message 7149: by Heather (new)

Heather | 10157 comments How do you post pics to a thread?
