A very impressive number, especially for a young person!

Hm, I think a lot of posts are missing today. There's a big gap from Sep 13 to Nov 28, and another gap from Nov 30 til today.
I know I posted about a couple weeks ago that I had just reached 200 List books ( I'm now at 201).

Lolita
Nip the Buds, Shoot the Kids
The Iron Heel
The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells
The Immoralist
Where Angels Fear to Tread
The Mountains of Madness
Mr. Norris Changes Trains
We
39 Steps
The Cubs and Other Stories
The Quiet American
Good Morning, Midnight
Kidnapped
(Total 175)

Yeah, that's odd. I haven't posted on this thread for awhile, but I've been reading the posts and I know that there were more posts than there are currently showing.

Congratulations! That is a landmark that I have had in my sights for a while now. I'm at 496 across all editions, so the champagne will soon be flowing!

Cool! I got to 500 late this year too, although I see my post has been lost in the mysterious disappearance that George posted about above :)
I know I will not read all the books from all the editions, even if time is not a factor, because some are virtually unobtainable (huge prices for used copies). So I'm aiming for 1001 books from the lists, and from that point of view I'm half way :)

Well done Rosemary! You are streets ahead of me with only just over the hundred x

Quicksand
The Garden Party and Other Stories
Breakfast of Champions (Total 178)

Starting 2017 having completed 250 novels from the combined list.
The 250th was Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov.

Just finished 'In Watermelon Sugar' by Richard Brautigan. It was part of an omnibus volume by the author, and I had never even heard of him before I saw him on the list. But I really loved the story & read the whole volume, which included another book & lots of poetry. Hoping to read more of his work in the future. That's my favorite part of reading through the list - when I discover a gem that I'm pretty certain I would never ever have read otherwise!

1. Notes from Underground by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
2. If on a Winter's Night a Traveler by Italo Calvino
3. Flaubert's Parrot by Julian Barnes
4. Roxana by Daniel Defoe
5. The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
6. August Is A Wicked Month by Edna O'Brien
7. Bunner Sisters by Edith Wharton
8. Ulysses by James Joyce
(Total =193)

-Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy
-The Book of Evidence by John Banville
-Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens
-The Passion by Jeanette Winterson
-.The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
-Life and Times of Michael K by J.M. Coetzee
- The Wasp Factory by Iain Banks
All good reads.... with The Curious Incident being the biggest surprise.... and The Wasp Factory being my least favorite...I'm not a horror fan.

Welcome to the 200 club Ed. I've no doubt you'll reach 300 before I do.
