Hm, I think a lot of posts are missing today. There's a big gap from Sep 13 to Nov 28, and another gap from Nov 30 til today.
I know I posted about a couple weeks ago that I had just reached 200 List books ( I'm now at 201).

I haven't posted on this thread for awhile, but I've been reading the posts and I know that there were more posts than there are currently showing.
Hit 500 this year with Antic Hay. Still not halfway though as I'm doing all editions but it's a great feeling to reach that number. Here's to 2017!

That is a landmark that I have had in my sights for a while now. I'm at 496 across all editions, so the champagne will soon be flowing!

I got to 500 late this year too, although I see my post has been lost in the mysterious disappearance that George posted about above :)
I know I will not read all the books from all the editions, even if time is not a factor, because some are virtually unobtainable (huge prices for used copies). So I'm aiming for 1001 books from the lists, and from that point of view I'm half way :)

I'm at 230 from the combined list. I've just completed my reading plan for 2017 and if I follow it correctly then The Grapes of Wrath will be my 250th...seems a worthy milestone book!

All right, I feel inspired again. I am only at 122 but I am going to get back on track and knock a few of these out at the start of this new year.

I've completed 158 of the combined list.
I've completed 158 of the combined list. Just finished 'In Watermelon Sugar' by Richard Brautigan. It was part of an omnibus volume by the author, and I had never even heard of him before I saw him on the list. But I really loved the story & read the whole volume, which included another book & lots of poetry. Hoping to read more of his work in the future. That's my favorite part of reading through the list - when I discover a gem that I'm pretty certain I would never ever have read otherwise!
Hello. I am currently at 0 and about to begin. Well, actually I've read 5-6 already but I feel like pretending I'm at 0 so I can re-read them again.

I recently finished #35 , The End Of Innocence by Edith Wharton . I'm using the list for encouragement about tackling the Classics . I think I will hold off on most of the newer books on the list for a few more years to see how they hold up as they age . A book's reputation can change as the immediate years pass .
