Viv JM I'm about quarter way through this - hoping to have it finished in time to join in with the discussion this month!
Liking it so far - makes me want to be a druid ;-)

Amanda | 69 comments Tried to read this a few years ago...about 11 actually, didn't much care for it then. Will give it another shot.

I've read this at least five times :) It's been a few years, but I think I remember it well enough to discuss! A favorite!

Stuart (asfus) | 136 comments Will probably read at some point.

Snail in Danger (Sid) Nicolaides (upsight) | 187 comments I've read this twice, including once within the last few months. Will try to poke my nose into the discussions if I have time.

Amelia (narknon) I read this a few months ago, won't be rereading it, but I will follow the discussion.

Maggie K | 298 comments I am about a quarter of the way through, and really enjoying it!

Kevin Xu (kxu65) | 372 comments I have the book from the library, which means I might read it sometimes before the month end.

message 10: by Laura (new)

Laura I read this several years ago. I love Arthurian myth, but am generally not so fond of Arthurian literature, so I probably won't try and slog through it again. But I am interested in listening to the discussion.

Liander (The Towering Pile) Lavoie (liannelavoie) | 17 comments I just started it. It's so big! I hope I get it done before the conversations have finished! :) I'm loving it so far. It's way more Pagan that I expected.

This is one of those books I bought many years ago when I still thought books got better as they got bigger (lol), and then didn't read because I went through a years-long "I hate Arthurian legends" phase. But I think I'm ready for it now!

(Also: I'm super pumped to be reading with this group again. I've been a member since it was on Yahoo Groups, but my to-read list is so long, I haven't had time to read book club books in years. But this one was already on my shelf, so yay!)

Jenny (jennyc89) | 127 comments I read this last summer and I loved it. I would already love to reread it but unfortunately I don't have the time with the mountains of books on my TBR list. It's definitely a book I'll read again in the future. It's actually what got me interested in Arthurian legend.

toria (vikz writes) (victoriavikzwrites) my copy has just arrived in the library. So, I'll join in soon.

Helen I read this about 15 years ago, I remember loving it and reading a load more of hers. I don't have a copy now though and don't think I'll have time.

Me too. I read it when I was in my early teens and loved it. I even remember the place I bought it: Garland of Letters in Philadelphia. It's this self-help/new-age store on South Street that has this giant lion statue out front. I found the book in their fiction section and couldn't resist buying it.

I loved the book. It changed the way I perceived the women in Arthurian lore, Celtic history, religious indoctrination, and fantasy. Someday I'll return to the Mists again for a reread but, for now, I love the sense of nostalgia the book holds for me...
