Travis Simmons | 42 comments So, I was wondering what kind of activity shows up in your profile updates that your friends see. If I make changes to one of my books, like its information, will my friends see it? Also, if I make a comment on my profile, will my friends see it? I am trying to figure out how to get people to see information, like promoting to my friends, without the "hard" push.

Changing book info doesn't show up in anybody's feed. What shows are up are things like status updates (which you can post from the "currently reading" section of your homepage (even updates not tied to your reading progress in a book), reviews, when you comment in a group or on a review. When you make friends with someone, etc. Blog posts also show up in your fans' update feeds.

This is all with the caveat that some of those actions can be filtered out by your friends (Just as you can customize what kinds of things show up in your feed).
