What hero stands out the most in your mind, in a good way out of the IRRs you've read and enjoyed? Tell us why. Try to post a link if you can. If you're an author, try not to vote for your own book. :)

Sam Starrett. Why? Because, he's real. I like how he didn't hide his flaws from Alyssa. I like how he loved Alyssa hard and would do anything for her and even die for her.

The FountainPenDiva, Old school geek chick and lover of teddy bears (thefountainpendiva) | 1216 comments I have three and in no particular order: Conall Viga-Feilan from Go Fetch! (Magnus Pack, #2) by Shelly Laurenston . I love how he's completely smitten and yet bemused by Miki, who doesn't take orders well or need him to protect her.

Dmitry from Dmitry's Closet (The Medlov Crime Family, #1) by Latrivia S. Nelson . There was just something raw and gritty about him that I loved. Too bad he was paired with a woman who just left me face-palming.

Dean from Happily Even After (The Second Time Around #1) by Lena Matthews . What a REAL man is all about!

Roslyn | 249 comments I love Ian from Once in a Blue Moon. Ultimate beta hero. I wish Dorianne Cole would write another book.

TinaNoir | 1456 comments My two favorites have already been mentioned, but I need to co-sign on both of them: Sam Starrett and Dean De Luca.

I will also add the tall, good looking Mitch from Judith Smith-Levin's Starletta DuVall series. I could practically smell his cologne through the pages the way she described him. LOL.

Fashionista (fashionista99) | 439 comments I see I'm not alone in my love for my Russian Man DMITRY
Dmitry's Closet (The Medlov Crime Family, #1) by Latrivia S. Nelson Saving Anya (The Medlov Crime Family, #4) by Latrivia S. Nelson The Chronicles of Young Dmitry Medlov by Latrivia S. Nelson The Chronucles of Young Dmitry Medlov Volume 3(The Medlov Crime Family Short Story Series) by Latrivia S. Nelson The Chronicles of Young Dmitry Medlov Volume 4 (The Medlov Crime Family Short Stories Series) by Latrivia S. Nelson

All I can say is that Dmitry is oh sooooo HOT!
Tattoos, 7ft tall, full of sinewy muscles, plus he's always dressed so dapper and charming. And everyone knows that I love a well-dressed man! And I can just imagine his sexy Russian accent; just makes me tremble. I love me some powerful Alpha Males! I would not mind being married to the mob if it means that I can have a man like Dmitry Medlov!

Fashionista (fashionista99) | 439 comments Paolo Saito in Player's Ultimatum by Koko Brown .
I mean soccer's golden bad boy. What's not to love. Paolo was oh so sexy.
His alpha male tendency to do whatever he needed to get and keep his woman. The love scenes were scorching Hot!

Nadine (peanutsmom) | 81 comments Sam is my ultimate hero is every sense of the word, not only a real man but a navy seal to boot. There relationship is push and pull and very realistic and Alyssa doesn't lay down to him.

I'm glad that Alyssa was one of those tough women. Sam needed a woman like that. He needed his match.

Wow, I hadn't thought of that book in a long time! Thanks for bringing it back and I'm going to have to re-read it soon.

I agree. Ian is a great beta hero. He was so sweet. I cried too when Denise broke up with him. He went home to his parents' house so wounded. "She left me mum!" *sighs* *tear*
Aww... I think that I am going to have to dig out my paperback copy of this too.

The FountainPenDiva, Old school geek chick and lover of teddy bears (thefountainpendiva) | 1216 comments Denise pissed me off so bad in that book! I was on the bus and people must have thought I was crazy because I was cussing her out for being so stupid, LOL. That's when you know a book is good!

Yeah, Denise was annoying. I'm glad she 'woman-ed up' at the end.

message 19: by Roslyn (new)

Roslyn | 249 comments I just read it again recently. It's one of my comfort reads. I wonder if Genesis is ever going to release it as an ebook. Probably not, since they never released it mass market. My guess is Dorianne got her rights back. I read somewhere that she's a lawyer. Maybe someday she'll re-release it herself.

message 20: by Gwen (last edited Jun 28, 2012 09:03PM) (new)

Gwen (gwenk) | 201 comments I'm a new reader to IR romance, so I only have a few heroes so far.

Ian from Before Sunrise by Sienna Mynx because he's tough and tender and loved his wife beyond all else. It was her love that kept him alive for 5 years when he was a prisoner of war. This man had a will of iron.

My number two hero is another military man. Tim from Trolling Nights by Savannah J. Frierson . I loved that he never tried to change Bevin to fit a certain mold. He loved her for who she was. Although, she was a successful businesswoman, she had low self-esteem. I liked the fact that he never gave up on making her see herself through his eyes as a beautiful, desirable woman.

The next hero is Aaron McKensie from Reconstructing Jada Channing by Savannah J. Frierson . The fact that this man went against his rich family and the heroine's family to claim his child and the love of his life really impressed me. The old prejudices were thrown out of the window, because he refused to accept those limitations on their relationship. I loved that!

I've loved reading about you guys heroes, because I found so many new books to check out! Thanks!
