SOLVED. YA. Girl in a graveyard; slips into another dimension. [s]

It was a very long time ago that I read this book, and I can't remember much about it.

This is what my brain can give you:

I'm pretty sure the book begins with the girl in a car driving by an ongoing funeral.

I remember a girl in a cemetery, I think where her brother, or a mother had been buried. While she is at this place, the girl is with the grandfather or uncle or some other male relation.

The cover had a tree on it, and I'm pretty sure 'tree' is in the title.

There is a important possession I think too, I'm just not sure what. And I recall the girl slipping into another dimension or world or the past or something like that while she is in the cemetery.

I think it is aimed at a younger audience, young adult fiction perhaps.


This was like, six years ago when I read this so I'm almost useless, but it has been bugging me all night!! Help? Any suggestions, welcome!

UPDATE: Might not help like, at all, but this book I had gotten from my high school library at the time.

Also, I am starting to think the girl is named Eve, or Eva or along those lines because I think there was symbolism to Adam and Eve in it the longer i think about it. So Eve might even be in the title and the object I'm thinking of could be an apple or a pocket watch, or something circular...
