Wouldn't you say The Deep Blue Good-by is actually Indigo?

I guess I never knew what Indigo was (And neither did this author's publisher!)

AND these three covers actually have the word Indigo in the title, but are they really Indigo or merely Blue?

Let's differentiate the blue and indigo by saying that blue is light blue, and indigo are the dark blues. A rainbow has areas that blend together.

I'd say the MacDonald book is indigo, unfortunately. You would get more points if it was categorized as blue. I have the same book on my indigo list.

It's one of my absolute favorite books! I loved how the vampire hunting filled in the missing parts of Lincoln's life. I learned more about his personal life than was taught in history class (and that doesn't include the vamps). But as I warned Debra - DO NOT go see the movie!

I was content to have Dracula and Interview With the Vampire be my complete Vamp-Lit exposure. I gave the The Historian 2 stars. The Historian Review. But somehow, I have recently added Let the Right One In and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter to the collection.

I was not particularily interested in Lincoln lore either. With this combination of history and an alternate "history" to the slave trade, this book was an easy read. It really is about Abraham and not about vampires, if that makes sense.

Gruesome is actually what made it great. You won't find teenage angst or swooning romance here. This is the real horror deal of ignoring the existence of vampires!

P.S. Unless you speak Swedish, you will probably not enjoy the movie. The dubbing was terrible, the subtitles didn't work well either...so although it looked like it was visually appealing the language barrier was too much of a distraction.

You know, now that you mention it, I have the 2010 movie, "Let Me In" on my Netflix cue. I forgot that I had marked both movies to be watched. Just bumped it up to the top. Maybe it will be better for the non-Swedish speaking audience.

I honestly didn't know Something Wicked This Way Comes was part of a series, so I can't advise you on that. I'll have to check that out.

I was just looking back, and you have Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as yellow. Do you have an edition that is predominantly yellow? If so, I'll let it go. If you read the book in print, you could count it as blue. If not, you may have to scratch it. Sorry. :(

I was viewing the cameo frame and background on the cover as yellow, but I can see that it was a stretch.

It looks green to me. My rule of thumb to determine predominance is that the book cover gives me the overall impression that it is one colour or another. I look at Heroes and think, "I see green" and not "I see some green". It's a very scientific approach don't you think?
