Review:
While I loved the first book for the intense world-building, this second book of the Unbound series was far superior romance and character wise. Ian and Kori were great together and it was quite a ride trying to figure out how this book would end. While I can't say that I'm 100% surprised by the actions that took place, I can safely say that almost nothing was done in a predictable way.
One of my favorite things about this series is the world it takes place in. Here I must admit that this book lost a bit of appeal for me as the first one gained its appeal from the total lack of time and place markers. Here the reader is flat out told that the story takes place in the United States (heck, that there even IS a US in this timeline) and that it obviously takes place after 2004 as Kori's brother makes a mention of their grandmother still thinking that's the year. Perhaps I'm just picky, especially as I had not problem in the first book with the use of dated technology of common cellphones and laptops, but I really feel that this book lost a little something in its being more time/place specific. Still... I can hardly wait for the next book.

Review: In this second book of the series, meghan has to save the fey world from the iron fey. She finds out she has a weird power, that she really doesn't pay much attention to. I'm sure it will be come in handy later though. She chooses who shes going to be with. Whether it will Puck or Ash, and that's where it ends.
I liked this book. The beginning kind of made me bored, however when all the action began it became a lot more interesting. I wished that her ally wouldn't have died. And I wish the ending was different, but it was still was pretty good.

I've had four books to read so they can go back to the library, although typically none of them can be used for free-space, so I'll probably do that sometime next week.

FinishedDarker After Midnight by Lara Adrian ★★★★★

Lara Adrian did it again. This book kept me guessing, squirming and panicking. I’ve been a big fan of this series from the beginning, and with its tenth installment, Lara Adrian definitely delivered again.
Sterling Chase’s story has been building up for many books now and to say his journey has been bumpy and full of angst would be the understatement of the year. Tavia Fairchild is the assistant to a United States senator who also happens to be Dragos' newest minion. When Chase meets up again with Tavia, he learns that she is much more than anyone could have expected, to him and to the Breed, and he will stop at nothing to protect her. Tavia knows nothing about vampires or things that go bump in the night.

Review: In the fourth book of the Dark Swan series, Eugenie is pregnant. She is forced to lay low due to the many people that want to end her pregnancy due to the prophecy that pertains to her son. After she has her babies she is forced to go back to the otherworld to take care of a very big problem. Winter has hit all the kingdoms and is causing all the land to suffer, and Dorian and Eugenie are going to gdtto the bottom of it.
I have mixed feelings about this. I just didn't really like how it ended because I didn't feel like it was happily ever after. I'm glad that everything worked out for the most part though. There was some parts that made me want to drop mykindle because I was so surprised. All in all it was a good book.

Title/Author: Fair Game by Patricia Briggs
Date finished: 25th June

Review: Another brilliant instalment from Patricia Briggs, this series compliments the Mercy Thompson one perfectly. I don't really like reading police books but luckily this wasn't that too heavy on the police and the politics that come with it so it was ok with me. I loved the ending and can't wait to see what happens in the next one! I would kind of like them to stay in Montana for some reason, I liked the Seattle setting in Hunting Ground but I wasn't so keen on Boston for this one for some reason.

Review: This is the first book of the series and to get in to the story took some time, but it was worth it. The story is about a girl who is not like everyone else she is faster and stronger. Everything takes place in a town that is between Texas and Mexico. The town is controlled by US military. So in this book we see how Loup Garron (main character) is born and how she grows up and what she has to do to keep herself safe and in the end her friends and loved ones.

Title/Author: Go Fetch! by Shelly Laurenston
Date finished: 26th June
Rating: ★★★1/2
Review: These books are quick and easy to read and definitely have some really funny moments. This one was about Miki, who's human and Conall, who's a Viking wolf.
The problem that I have, and this is the same with most of Shelly Laurenston's books, is that I can't seem to make a strong connection with the characters. They're always very similar, the girl tends to be kick-ass and "crazy" and can kind of grate on you a bit.
The plot wasn't anything particularly unique but I probably would've enjoyed this one more if I hadn't have read it straight after Fair Game, which IMO was a better wolf story.
That being said, these books are supposed to be light-hearted and funny, and it does achieve that.

Review:
It felt like this book took forever to read. There were many times that I felt as though I could have stopped reading and not cared. For some reason, while the story-line was interesting in an over arching sense, this one didn't seem... plausible? I felt as though the characters were different from how they were presented in the first books. I felt as though this book should have been much darker than it was. I'm hoping the rest won't follow suit as I give the story-line 4stars.

TITLE/Author Infamous by Sherrilyn Kenyon ★★★★
DATE FINISHED June 28
Nicholas Gautier (pronounced Go-shay, not Gaut-tee-aa) is a proud 15 year old Cajun with a sharp attitude and a price on his head for the powers he has yet to master. In Infamous, Nick's life is being pulled in all sorts of directions, but somehow he continues to overcome it all and grow so much as a character. What I liked about this is that it tackles thoughts and demons that aren't entirely supernatural, but things that many teens think about on a daily basis, and have to deal with. Bullying at school, rumors, fighting, and thoughts on teen sexuality are all elements that are dealt with in this book. If you are looking for a story to lift your spirits, raise your hope in family, friends and community this book will meet that need.

Review: I dont know what to think about it. The story itself is good, but really blood hungry pixies who steal boys and torture them, if there king can't find a queen. Also there are werewolf, who is one of the good guys. Anyway it was little too much for me. Shouldn't pixies be like little creatures who live in gardens or something.
