((((Regina)))) So cute. :D Well .... I'm flip-flopping on the start date for R6. The holidays are always a hard time to run a challenge like this, so maybe sooner rather than later? Dunno. I'll let everyone know as soon as we have a go-date.

I need to make a decision here soon or else we'll be running the chance of creeping into Turkey & Fat-Man-in-Red-Suit day. (Can't say the official holiday names b/c I refuse to believe how close they are ... .must.slow.down.time)

Here's an idea, Steph - Don't call any shelves on US Thanksgiving weekend and the week between Christmas and New Years. Those would be catch up weeks.

That is a good idea, AH. I'm still contemplating when to start, but should we start later and run into the holiday season we could take periodic pauses. I'll keep that idea in mind. If we do plan for something like that, I'll make it clear what dates we'll pause before the round starts. >;)

I'm already looking forward to Round 6! I had to drop out of Round 5 due to stuff that was happening to me outside the internet. This month, I just started to do something about it and hopefully everything will be all or almost all right by the time Round 6 comes around!

For next round of BIngo, in order to get a nice notification, maybe the Shelf Announcements thread could get individual posts? The little red "new" would show up and instead of a "Bingo R6: discussion" thread notification showing up which could mean any comment, the notification would clearly say was shelf announcement.

I think the system is fine the way it is, personally. For me, and it is all subjective, part of the fun is checking in, participating in the disucssions and wondering -- is this the post? :D And it pretty much always comes at the same time.

Round 6 Steph is still figuring the timing out.....I think Round 6 could start again open up the signups for a week and assign teams and we are good to go....this coming from a person who does not have the talent or skill of the Mighty Steph or Sandra or AH or Regina

Personal shelves added

In addition to linking to Goodreads shelves, I've created five "personal shelves" for R4. For these shelves, players will be able to use their personal TBR shelves to choose a book.

Personal Shelves & Rules:
✯ Reader's Choice ~ choose any book, your choice (in series, stand-alone, any genre)
✯ New2You: Author ~ choose a book written by an author you have never read; include w/review: if you will read add'l bks by this author in the future
✯ New2You: Series ~ choose a book (#1) in a series you have not yet started; include w/review: if you will read add'l bks in this series in the future
✯ Favorite Series ~ choose a book from one of your favorite series
✯ Favorite Supe ~ choose a book with one (or more) of your favorite types of supernaturals (ie: vampire, shifter, dragon, etc.); include w/review: which supe(s) were in your chosen book

NOTE: You may choose a book either currently on your GR shelves or on-hand, but not added to GR. You will have to add it once you're "currently reading" it.

It's real. Here in Canada it's about 12 to 15 loonies a bottle. Couple of different ones. One is creamy the other is red wine with chocolate after note.

Pinnacle and smirnoff brands of vodkas do a chocolate flavor plus yummy marshmallow and other flavors. Helluva Brandy Alexander flavor if you mix right. My favorite chocolate martini recipe is "chocolate whipped cake" here: http://www.pinnaclevodka.com/assets/p...

And pretty perfect when you are wading thru certain book phrases you have turned into drinking games like how often Laurell K. Hamilton mentions a guy's eyes or Jennifer Skully has someone admire heroine's rear-end (double shot when admires her own).

No Safeway here. We get Loblaws and I am pretty sure they don't carry chocolate wine, just bad tanker wine.
