Outlets depend on airline, some do have seating charts showing where outlets are. I carry chargers just for batteries so I keep my hands on my device and have no shame in asking strangers to plug charger plus battery into an outlet they are not using or catch passing stewards and ask them to plug in anywhere something is available. in airplane mode, iPads and kindles do fine.

I travel abroad at least a couple of times a year so I know what I need to do. I also travel light and don't shop - usually travel with one suitcase which I always check (my hair products are always bigger than3 oz.)

I'm sure I'd have more mixed feelings about it if my team had a chance at a winning shelf this week. We are one of the unlucky teams who still haven't had a shelf called that made a four in a row. Maybe this week (crossing fingers)? Although I am also crossing my fingers that it isn't a potential winning shelf for another team. Sorry.
