That one and the 50 shades books are pretty much on every shelf whether or not applicable!

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 2179 comments Shelf! Shelf! .... Er. ... looking at other teams BINGO cards ... not a demons shelf (I am on team 16 and it took us forever to get even 2 in a row squares and demons shelf gives teams 17 and 18 four in a row) ? LOL, guess team 9 looking for paranormal or kickass shelves.

message 508: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Yay! Paranormal romance for team 9 please! Vlad will work for that one...

message 509: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 2484 comments Team 11 respectfully requests that the next shelf be either Dark Fantasy or Angels.

We thank you for your consideration.

message 510: by Valerie (new)

Valerie (versusthesiren) | 245 comments Team #12 would especially love Mr. Randomizer if he were to pick sci-fi romance or vampires. :)

message 511: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 2484 comments Team 11 would not be opposed to dragons, urban fantasy or shifter.

What? Potential four in a row already? Something seems fishy...is Mr. Randomizer taking bribes because I've got some cupcakes ;)

message 513: by Jackie M (new)

Jackie M | 695 comments Shelf! Shelf! I am sick of housework and need to read!

message 514: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments I'd definitely would like the demons or new series shelves but the book I need to read doesnt fit either shelf. It fits like a million of the others though so I hope we get one of those!

message 515: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32726 comments Our next shelf announcement is up ~ 'shifters'

Happy Reading, BSB Darlings!
:)

message 516: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments Woohoo! I can read my book. :)

message 517: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Yay! :) Which book are you picking and more importantly, how was your salad?

I am torn again between:

Seraphina (Seraphina, #1) by Rachel Hartman Heart of Stone by C.E. Murphy

message 518: by AH (new)

AH | 2271 comments Seraphina!

message 520: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32726 comments Didn't I spot Seraphina on your (or someone else's) option list last week? :)

Hope everyone enjoys their book choice(s) & has a great week!

message 521: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments LOL Steph you did and LOL -- AH said the same thing last week. :)

message 522: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32726 comments Thought so! ;) Guess it's time to start it.

message 523: by Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) (last edited Jul 07, 2012 05:44PM) (new)

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 2179 comments AAAAAaaaaaaaaacccccccCCCCKKKKK! for team 16 Bingo card the shifter shelf lines up with absolutely no other called shelf (not even free space). If ya lost link to spreadsheet showing all bingo cards was https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/l...

(suspect teams 1 and 5 share my pain)

message 524: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 1183 comments Dang. Not one of the ones I was hoping for, but at least shifters lines up with our free space.

Woohoo to new shelf. Thanks Steph!

message 525: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michelle_mc) | 2158 comments Deborah (Debbie Rice) wrote: "(suspect teams 1 and 5 share my pain)"

It will give Team 5 2-in-a-row once we have the stamps. On the plus side it gives no team 4-in-a-row so the game will last for at least another 2 weeks :)

message 526: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments Regina wrote: "Yay! :) Which book are you picking and more importantly, how was your salad?"

I'm reading Tangle of Need (Psy-Changeling, #11) by Nalini Singh and the salad was fabulous! My husband has a really mean dressing. :)

message 527: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments Shifters was great for us. It gives us our second 3-in a row.

message 528: by Daffodil (new)

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments Shifters was great for us too! It will give us 3-in a row in two directions.

message 529: by Mary X (new)

Mary X (marymaryalwayscontrary) | 2484 comments We have one 3-in a row and shifters gives us two 2-in a rows. So it's a good one for us too. Once we get caught up on our stamps.

message 530: by Diane ~Firefly~ (new)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 913 comments I will probably pick out my book for the Shifters shelf tomorrow.

message 531: by Susan (susayq ~) (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 247 comments For those of you that have read Once Burned (Night Prince, #1) by Jeaniene Frost , do I need to read anything before this? I know it's supposed to take place in the same world as the author's other books, which I haven't read yet.

You don't necessarily have to. Characters from the other series show up for a brief period of time, but really you could easily read this without reading the Night Huntress books.

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments I've seen that book everywhere lately and I love the Night Huntress series but I was wanting to read First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) by Jeaniene Frost first...just for chronological order

message 534: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments If you aren't going to start with the first Cat & Bones book ( Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost ) where the main character of Once Burned is eventually introduced, there is no need to read First Drop of Crimson (Jeann, I know you have though ....)

message 535: by Steph, Serious series addict (last edited Jul 10, 2012 05:12PM) (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32726 comments Agreed! Once Burned can be started at any point, IMO. No need to start/finish NH or NHW prior to starting it. You will not feel lost.

The difference for those who have read all of NH with or without having read all of NHW is that we already know a bit about Vlad. And, by bit, I mean a tiny bit. He's a character I fell for early on (shocking, I know ~ I'm such a book boyfriend ho), but she (Frost) always just teased us with info about him, didn't lay it all out there until his book, Once Burned.

ETA: Reading over my rambles, I'm not sure if that helped or not. LOL!

message 536: by Susan (susayq ~) (new)

Your ramblings totally made sense to me Steph, but probably because all of it is exactly how I feel lol. I'm a book boyfriend ho too and Vlad is one that I jumped on as soon as he was introduced.

Steph (angel4492) | 32726 comments Yay! Hope you enjoy it, Susan!

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Well said!

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Haha thanks Steph & Regina, you've both placed the book in front of my radar! I was kind of disappointed seeing Vlad slowly disappear into the background but turns out the author had other plans for him ;)

Yay! :) Enjoy! Yeah, I was SO happy when she announced he was getting a series. LOVE it! Can't wait for #2.

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Have you read NHW yet Steph? What did you think of that one? I loved the Night Huntress series but it started to wane towards the end (view spoiler)

message 544: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32726 comments Yes, I've read them all - NH, NHW and now NP. I am a fan of them all. However, I do agree w/your thoughts on NH. My rating for #6 was 3, when my rating for #5 was 5. (view spoiler) #6 just felt off for me. Couldn't really explain it other than saying it just didn't feel Night Huntressy enough for me. LOL!

message 545: by Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (last edited Jul 10, 2012 11:03PM) (new)

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Oooh I'm exactly the same - I rated #6 with a 3 and #5 with a 5!! We must be book twins or something lol! My reviews for them explain my thoughts on these - This Side of the Grave and One Grave at a Time.

message 546: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32726 comments LOL! ;) Both reviews were well-written and I couldn't agree more.

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Thanks Steph, it's almost as if someone else wrote One Grave at a Time or something hey!

message 548: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)
