It takes place in a fairytale middle east setting. (think arabian nights)
There is a beautiful princess.
A wizard(?) brings a black
mechanical horse to the palace and persuades the princess to sit on the horse. She does and it flies away(yes it can fly). And comes back without the princess.
I think the wizard/old guy was blackmailing the king to either marry the princess and/or take over the kingdom.Something like that
A prince/young man arrives and hears about the abducted princess. He works out how the horse works and rides away on it.
He has to perform some tests I seem to remember to bring back the princess.
Thats what I can remember.
