What are you reading?
I would be trying to get my hands on The Walking Dead graphic novels, but my library website is acting up and I can't access the catalogue. Grr. Also need to get the next volumes of Sailor Moon (just finished vol 4).
I am finishing Suck it up and die and currently reading Masque of the Red Death....and in manga I am reading xxx Holic

Yotsuba&! is the best! I am impatiently waiting for my library to get a copy of volume 11."
Yotsuba&! is great stuff. One of my favorite manga series.
Been on a reading kick lately during my commute to work and gotten through a ton of stuff. Next up for graphic novels is I Kill Giants, prose is a recently rereleased early novel I've never read from my favorite author (Tim Zahn), and manga is Pluto.
Also, having recently been introduced to Cross Game by friends and devouring the first seven double volumes, I absolutely can't wait for the final one. I really don't even like baseball and I still love the series!

What I'm currently reading right now:
* Arisa
* Vampire Knight
* Kimi ni Todoke
* Black Bird
* B. O. D. Y
* Yotsuba &
* The Devil and Her Love Song
* Maid Sama

Oh I can't wait to read that series, gotta save monies though >_< but good to know it's good all the way through ^_^

I have been looking forward to this manga too. I will have to read it soon.
I am reading

Boy Princess is one of my favorite series. I own all 9 volumes. It was confusing the first time I read it, but I also started with volume 5, so that could have something to do with it...

I am reading

And the latest chap(103) from Kamisama hajimemashita

Me too=) And it really is about time they update! about a month already?

I love Sailor Moon!
I have just started reading

I know I posted this earlier but I want to read those books so bad its killing me? How great are they?

Deadman Wondeland is one of the best mangas I have read. I just felt it ended way too soon. I hope you enjoy it as much.as me. :)

How is Gone Girl? Worth all the hype?

How is xxx Holic? I have been heavily considering it as my new manga series.

I thought Sand Chronicles was pretty good. It has loads of drama, so if you like that kind of things, then you'll love it. Kinda sad sometimes, too. But there are a lot of good characters and it ends fairly well. Wednesday hasn't been online for a while, but I know that she really liked it.

xxxHolic was pretty meh for me, but I know that most people disagree. I'm not a huge fan of CLAMP: the only thing of theirs that I really liked was Cardcaptor Sakura. If you like CLAMP, you would probably like this too. There are a lot of references to their other series that a fan would appreciate.

I'm not reading any manga at the moment but should soon.
Is anyone else doing the reading challenge for this year? I said I could read 100 books within the year. I've read 25 so far. I'm so proud of myself!

I'm not reading..."
I'm doing the reading challenge, and I think I also put 100 books, but so far, I have read 20 books. School is time-draining! :)

I hear you. I checked I have read 25. Some might think I cheated because I even read kids books, but to me they are still books. I read them. It should count. What do you guys thing? Does it count to read kids books?

I say books are books are books. Just make sure your reading challenge reflects that you're reading short as well as long books. Don't be, "I'm gonna read 10 books" and then read all 50-page books unless that's really all you can read in the time period.

I feel the same way. I make my reading challenge number fairly high, because I know that manga doesn't take me long to read. The whole point of a challenge is that it's challenging ;) If I know that I'm going to be reading a lot of books that are easy or short, I make my challenge longer.
On another note, I'm reading the first of the Chrestomanci Chronicles by Diana Wynne Jones. I'm about 3/4 of the way through. I love the writing style, though I think the story itself is a bit boring. It feels like I'm only just getting started(I have a feeling that is actually the case).

Dianna Wynne Jones's works tend to be very understated (which is why I love them). Hers are a delightful stroll through a magic land with a jaded tour guide, which just makes it more fun.

Pixie Tricks was my favorite in kindergarten and my brother's was Magic Tree House. Not sure what "level one and two" means (since I was kinda far ahead of my peers...), but if you're looking younger than that, Madeline and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom were also favorites. :)

I've heard of that one. A lot of people keep telling me to read them because I like cats. Or at least, a vocal few, lol.
The Fairy-Tale Detectives is a good one too, and if they liked Rise of the Guardians, Nicholas St. North and the Battle of the Nightmare King is pretty good too.
(and yes, I'm the geek who still reads younger/middle grade stuff occasionally. If it's done well, it's a great quick read ^^;;;)
