M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments I'm sure you mentioned an anthology a while back. I'd read one. :-)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Didn't we talk about one for the Gumbees?

message 4153: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I wonder if it was the Gumbees?

To be honest I do wonder how well anthologies work to promote writers unless you have 'names' contributing

message 4154: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I don't think they work at all, I treat them more as a bit of fun, to be honest

Jim | 21813 comments Immodestly chuffed, 'One truly exceptional bowel movement' has got the 'pick of the day' and gold cherries on abctales

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments The poop wins every time!!

Jim | 21813 comments Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "The poop wins every time!!"

I would like to think that it was literary genius rather than an eye catching title that won me such high esteem in the eyes of my peers.

Of course I may just be deluding myself :-(

message 4158: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments It was most likely the smell.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Peers or pee-ers?

message 4160: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Good move (ment) Jim!

message 4161: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I approve of your new thread title.

Good shit, Jim.

message 4162: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments As the King James bible says, Isaiah 16:11 "Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh."

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Was that harp or parp?

message 4164: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Gummi Bears.

message 4165: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments Jim wrote: "Kirharesh.""

I think there's ointment for that.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Crossing the threads!!

message 4167: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I shall rise above it all! ;-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Mental picture of Jim sitting cross-legged on a cloud.

message 4169: by Tim (new)

Tim | 8539 comments or on a pile. . .

message 4170: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Hehe

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Tim wrote: "or on a pile. . ."

Of dead sheep?

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Was almost afraid to look in here.

Now have a mental picture of Jim surfing towards fame on a large pile of ordure

message 4173: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I've been up to my knees in the damned stuff for years.....

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Ah well, it's only when it's up to your chin you need to worry!

message 4175: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments True enough
Mind you, so far it's been responsible for the nearest accolade I have for literary merit so it's probably unbecoming of me to complain

message 4176: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments You are married: you know you aren't allowed to complain!

message 4177: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I can still moan to the dog

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments That poor dog! Who does she moan to??

message 4179: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Yay! Does this mean I've lost the poop crown?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments David wrote: "Yay! Does this mean I've lost the poop crown?"

How careless!

Rosemary (grooving with the Picts) (nosemanny) | 8590 comments Dropped it down the pan?

message 4182: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Gingerlily - Mistress Lantern wrote: "That poor dog! Who does she moan to??"

She's a border collie, her complaints will doubtless be in writing

message 4183: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Do you own a shepherd's crook?

message 4184: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I have one I made for pulling sheep out of the beck. It's mild steel, has a handle twelve feet long and means that I can stand on the bank and reach across and pull them over to my side to get them out of the water

message 4185: by Patti (baconater) (new)

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments You are so cool.

Reason I ask is cuz I watched a programme last night where the dude had one made.

Was really interesting how they'd flop the sheep on their back and the sheep would just lie there.

I don't think I could work with sheep. I'd be too tempted to slap them for being so stupid.

message 4186: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments You manage to work with educational administrators? Sheep cannot be much tougher to cope with ;-)

message 4187: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton | 23860 comments Oi! Retired educational administrator here. Go carefully now...

Jim | 21813 comments Kath wrote: "Oi! Retired educational administrator here. Go carefully now..."

Ah but we all love you in spite of your past ;-)

message 4189: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments I 'll be needing a crook to pull Jim out of deep water.

(Possibly this client I've been seeing this morning.)

message 4190: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I can get into deep water entirely on my own but getting out is a trickier business.
Is your client bent enough to be a crook or so bent he ought to be a corkscrew :-)
Note, I don't think you need to answer that question

message 4191: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments Please, please miss, I got a review!

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8051 comments Nice one!

message 4193: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21813 comments I was fair chuffed ;-)

message 4194: by Will (new)

Will Macmillan Jones (willmacmillanjones) | 11324 comments Good going, Jim!

message 4195: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Jim wrote: "I was fair chuffed ;-)"

As you should be. They're rolling in now.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Rolling in what?

message 4197: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Now, of course; didn't I say?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments So Jim has a pool of now for his readers to roll in?

message 4199: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments I'm sure all farmers have a pool of now; it's in the farmers charter, or something.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments They have a charter? What do they have in it? Maximum amounts of manure per cow, number of sheep allowed to die per day and stuff like that?
