Jim Webster, (In On a Chance! )

Yes, it seems that Tallis and his reminiscences are rather popular amongst bloggers.
He's more in demand than I am, so I'm clinging desperately to his coat tails as he cuts a swathe through high society

Can't he write his own words?

What do you mean 'even'?
I'm perfectly respectable!

I've sent for Tallis, he should be along at any moment
Pour wine

Hi Gaff, I've tried posting something across, who knows, it might even have worked

I've sent for Tallis, he should be along at any moment
Pour wine"
Wine is always a good answer

I've sent for Tallis, he should be along at any moment

Be afraid. Be very afraid.

And then I thought I'd put some aside so that when I do the 'complete Tallis' (Lord alone knows what I'll call it) there'll be some stuff in that people haven't seen.

I don't think you quite understand the purpose of a poet.
They happily buy wine and will drink to your continued good health and prosperity all day long.
They don't expect you to buy them wine. (After all could they rely on your good taste with regard to which wine to buy.) They merely expect you to give them money

Cheaper than having a birthday every day
