Daniel | 3 comments Ok- this has been bugging me for quite a while now. There was a book I read on holiday that I cannot for the life of me remember the name. I also don't know the author.

The main plot, from what I can remember- It's a post apocalyptic world where only a small group of humans are left. They are using people as "cattle" and treat them as such, eating them and milking them, and using males as "bulls". The company that owns the slaughterhouse sways popular opinion against vegetarians. The main character fights to free the "cattle" from the slaughterhouse, and their inhumane treatment.

It had a golden cover. Probably.

Thanks in advance for your help!

This was the edition/cover I read: The Mount

Daniel | 3 comments The owners of the factory were definitely human, and the story focused on one of the workers. I can see the similarities though :D

Is that the one that was in one of HE's Dangerous Visions collections? DV or ADV? I forgot that was Piers Anthony. If only he'd continued to write like that consistently!
