Yes, it does make it rather icky *shudder*!

31. The scene shows that Devil still has some barely leashed restraint.
Regarding the Dowager - she sees all and knows all :0)

32. I wasn't impressed with Magnus. I was expecting more blustering

33. Charles has creeped me out from the beginning and he comes across as more and more disturbed with every encounter. I don't think he's playing with a full deck.

34. That scene was rather pervy. Did Devil set it up on purpose? Why would he do that?

35. Sweet moment at the cottage.

36. The Cynster cousins are incorrigible. Can't wait for them to meet their matches.
Devil's jealousy was cute. The poor man doesn't know what's hit him, lol!

37. So Honoria is one of the rare people who can smell the bitter almonds. Very convenient.

38. Love Magnum and Higgie Baby!
The story showed how amazing the Duchess is. It annoys me that the Duke cheated on her - what an ass!

39. I've had my suspicions from the start and I'm even more convinced now.

40. Ballistic is an understatement. On the one hand, Honoria's actions are bordering on the TSTL but on the other, Devil shouldn't be keeping her in the dar, especially considering how well he knows her stubborness.

41. Definitely one of Honoria's TSTL moments. On the other hand, I can see her reasoning as she couldn't get hold of Devil and she took Carter and Sligo with her.

42. I like how Devil got over his rage and returned Honoria to his bed despite his anger with her.

43 . I wasn't surprised that he went to check out the note. I was surprised that he didn't barge into the house and call Chillingworth out. He showed some restraint and perhaps this is the best indication that he didn't actually believe the note was true. I also loved that Honoria smacked Chillingworth in the kisser, lol!

44. Made sense to me. They needed proof.

45. Yeah, I knew that would happen. It added to the tension and suspense.

46. I think that Devil showed her how much he loved her. She didn't need the words (although I agree that they are nice).

47. Great scene. I love Devil and his son.

48. Yes, I'm going to continue reading.

ShoSho (shoshost) | 12263 comments Glad you enjoyed it and you're going to continue with the series. Some of the books in the series are real good ,some not so much but all of them are entertaining !

Thanks ShoSho. Participating in the discussion really added another layer of enjoyment to reading the book. Can the thread for the next book be opened? I'll probably get to it later this month.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments I have just popped in on this discussion because someone, probably Lauren, recommended this book and I was looking for something other than Romantic-Suspense. Great book. I'm on chapter 9. I did not want to like it. I do not need another series. But, it is a great book and I think the Cynster family has hooked me.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments I was looking at the Cynster Family Tree online (my e-reader had a lousy copy) and my oldest daughter popped in and rattled off the whole plot, them gently took me by the hand to our library and pointed out the I have all the Cynster books. She left them when she moved out.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 607 comments Speaking of that Cynster Family Tree, I honed in on the baddie from the beginning. I just felt that Devil was the target and somehow Tolly had happened upon information that Devil needed to know and that is why he was murdered.
