SOLVED. boy turns into a plant thru science project [s]

This is a children's book, maybe ages 8-12?? I young boy studies photosynthesis for his school science project and then proceeds to turn himself into a plant by ingesting chlorophyll? I think that's how the story goes. All help is much appreciated!
