Paige Miller | 4362 comments Something inspirational, huh? Let’s see… how about a mini fridge stocked with delicious treats?
Edward, could you help me carry this in? Thanks. Vampire strength sure does come in handy!

*Puts note on fridge*
Lai-
If these treats aren’t to your liking, feel free to fill it with whatever snacks you’re in the mood for. Just get writing!
XOXO Tink

There, that should be a nice surprise for Lai. :)

*sneaks out*

Hey Edward, nice job helping Tink out :]

Hey Lai, just because you didn't acheive a goal doesn't mean that you failed. I bet you had a ton of words dancing around inside your imagination just waiting to get out :]

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments Hi Chrissy! (just for those who forgot/don't know, Chrysanthemum (Chrissy) is my fairy/writing buddy here in my cubical) It's been a while since I've updated, I'll have to get some updates up soon! Yes, I did see you ate some of Tink's brownies, but that's okay!

Tink

Thanks so much for the treats! Shannon is going to be piggying out soon, I know it! (She's my character from Voices/Never Alone and my inspiration story). =D All of it looks so good! And thanks so much Edward! You're.....just........wonderful. *sigh* =)

Dee

Yes, I know. Maybe Failed isn't the right word? Any other word options?

message 659: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey Elaine! What's up?

I agree with Paige totally. Your imagination needs time to refresh itself :]

So, you didn't fail to write, you were just recharging your brain batteries ;]

message 661: by [deleted user] (new)

I agree with ya dee!

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments Thanks Paige and Dee for your encouragement! I still haven't been writing much down, but I'm okay with it. Thanks for the link, Paige! I still haven't gotten around to reading any yet, but I will!

Adding to the Twilight conversation...
I've only read each book once, but I really want to re-read them! I find it amazing how much I can't remember! Right now I'm re-reading the Harry Potter series before the 6th movie comes out, so maybe I'll re-read the Twilight Saga before New Moon (the movie) comes out!

message 667: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 4362 comments I've re-read them all more than 20 times, but I lost track after that. It's crazy- I'm kind of obsessed.

message 668: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm almost done with Breaking Dawn for the fourth time I've read the series, and then I'm going to start the Harry Potter for the 3rd time I've read the series.

message 669: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 4362 comments LOL Those are both classics.

message 670: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments Kind of obsessed, Tink?! lol! I've read the Harry Potter books tons! Not at all sure how many times, but if I had to guess maybe around 5 or 6 or 7? I don't know. lol!

message 671: by [deleted user] (new)

ha ha

message 672: by Paige (last edited Jun 18, 2009 09:17AM) (new)

Paige Miller | 4362 comments Ha ha... I'm bad, I know. But what's a girl supposed to do in her free time?

I think I've read all the HP books at least 5 times... I've probably read the 2nd, 5th, 6th and 7th more than that though, because they're my favorites.

message 673: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments I can't believe it, but I think I've only read the 7th book twice! =(

message 674: by [deleted user] (new)

lol

message 675: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller | 4362 comments Really? *gaspeth*

message 676: by [deleted user] (new)

I've only read the entire series twice. I'm going for my third.

message 677: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments lol! *gaspeth* Love it! =D

Yes, it's amazing how Rowling can write so amazingly that no matter how many times you've read the books, you always enjoy them again! I'm reading Prisoner of Azkaban right now in my rereading of the series. I'm reading the British edition for the first time and it's so fun and interesting to see all of the differences between it and the American edition. Like instead of "kick the bucket" it has 'pop my clogs'. lol! Tons of other expressions and words as well, and punctuation, and spelling! I'm enjoying comparing it to my American edition!

message 678: by [deleted user] (new)

coolio!

message 679: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments Yeah! lol!

Let me see....I think this is what I've written since the last update...not sure though....

Worked on: the beginning of a short story for a contest, but wasn't able to finish it in time for the deadline.
Word count: 271

Worked on: A Shakespearean styled Sonnet, which was supper fun and I really am pleased with it!
Word count: 108

Total word count for the last, I dunno, days: 379

LOL that's like when I read Midnight Sun and Twilight at the same time... so funny to get both sides of the story.

message 681: by [deleted user] (new)

ha ha

message 682: by Snow (new)

Snow (kdskid007) lol, that would be fun! ^^

message 683: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments LOL! Cool idea Tink! I haven't read Midnight Sun yet...do you think that Stephenie Meyer is, someday, going to publish it?

message 684: by Snow (new)

Snow (kdskid007) i think she is, once she calms down from having it put out on the net on her. she just got really mad that one of her trusted friends posted it online. *sigh* at least, i HOPE she's going to finish and publish it.

Hey Lai :]

LOVE the Harry Potter series. I cried sOOooo hard while reading the last two books. But it was sOOoo good, I hated them to end. Will July ever hurry up and get here :]

message 686: by [deleted user] (new)

I know!!!!

message 687: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments I know! I can't wait for the movie to come out!!!!!!!!! Did you see that the current rating is PG? I hope they move it up to PG-13.

And about Midnight Sun....Yeah, I really hope she publishes it!

message 688: by [deleted user] (new)

Um, I doubt they'll move it to PG-13. It's too late to do it.

message 689: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments Yeah... =( It's not that I have anything against PGs, it just seems kind of weird.

message 690: by [deleted user] (new)

I know! like all these different movies that should be R are PG-13. it's strange!

Yeah, and then I watched this R once and I don't really know why it was an R! It was rated R for "Some Language", but I don't think it was any worse than some other movies (not Rs) I've watched.

message 693: by Elaine (new)

Elaine (caladhiel) | 1020 comments I posted some more of my writing on GoodReads! They are some short stories I've written for the Weekly Story Contest Group here on GoodReads.

message 694: by Snow (new)

Snow (kdskid007) Hey Elaine, about the movies rated R for some language... once a movie says the f word more than twice, its automatically rated r. and i hate it when movies that should be r are pg13.

message 695: by [deleted user] (new)

I know how stupid is that?!

message 696: by Snow (new)

Snow (kdskid007) lol, if they rated lives, a single hour of mine would be rated r some days ><

message 697: by Elaine (last edited Jun 29, 2009 09:21PM) (new)

Snowsong wrote:"...about the movies rated R for some language...once a movie says the f word more than twice, its automatically rated r."
Well, I guess that would explain it. =)

Yeah, I don't like it when you watch a PG-13 and it's like, "I really would rather not have watched that!". It's so hard to tell if movies are going to be good sometimes. At least they say why their rated what they are...sometimes I wish books would do that.

message 698: by [deleted user] (new)

so do I. :D

message 699: by Paige (new)
