Are you talking
, Elishia? No. It is a real book and a real book option posted for this month. It is pretty funny, though my girl-friend didn't think so (but she doesn't have kids).I'm doing the Audio Challenge in RRRC, and several people posted it as their selection, too! Go for it. Everyone needs a break.

LOL YW glad you enjoyed the grandma one. I thought the guy in the background(probably who was videoing). I had my youngest son listen to Samuel reading it and he was laughing because I told him that was EXACTLY what he did every single night when I put him to bed. And he still wouldn't "Go the F to Sleep LOL I would find him up with his toys sitting by the curio cabinet (it had a small light in it) playing at all hours of the night LMAO. I am sure I made up several of my own Go the Fuck to Sleep stories lmao
Elishia, I updated you in Participant's Post #6.I guess everyone can relate to this one.

ha ha yep that was me the last few weeks when I had my little cousins staying here. The youngest one always pretends he can read along with me but just keeps saying blah blah blah till I give up reading.

You all seem to like this book, maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance.
I wasn't a huge fan of it Elishia, it took me ages to get into it, but liked it by the end. The third in the series was my fave!
Elishia wrote: "Its the others I want to read but I have to read things in order :-("Sugar Daddy and Smooth Talking Stranger are both my favs in the series. If you didn't like it Elishia, thats fine. The first book received mixed reviews. I loved Gage and didn't care for Hardy as much, so I was tickled pink with the way the book progressed.
Overall, the series is a good one. I would continue on to the next 2 books. Jack (the third book) was quite dreamy!

Thanks for letting me know, to be fair I only got about 6 pages in but she sounded really child like.
LOL really? Oops, I kept wondering why she was talking like that it put me off, guess I'll give it another try soon then.
I started
and put it down too after 5 pages. Ya'll may think I am silly or a little extreme but this is the reason why: The Pit Bull scene. As if they don't already have enough negative publicity, couldn't the author have used a different breed of dog that doesn't have such a bad reputation???????? I am real sensitive when it comes to this breed of dogs. People have trained them to be mean nasty attack dogs. I have two Pits of my own and love them dearly. They are the biggest, sweetest, kindest, loving, friendliest, well mannered dogs I have ever owned!!!! I will give this author/book another try but this just upset me especially knowing what I know about Pit Bulls.

Yes, the book follows her from a little kid to adulthood. My only suggestion about reading this book is to keep an open mind. If you do, its quite a wonderful love story!
It's always interesting what scenes or language can pull us out of a story and really touch our angry bone. I recently read a book that used such ugly words about a gay character (it was supposed to be funny!) and made me so angry that I had to put the book down... not a big priority for me to waste more time on that author. I can definitely understand the sentiment Robin, different things trigger different readers.
