I went and got a haircut this morning, and I passed Goodwill...and it was nice and shiny (well, actually rather dingy)...*sigh*
Its only 9:30. I bet I end up going.

I went to Goodwill....but it was pretty much cleaned out. I did score a couple: You Suck and How The Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents.
I'm pretty excited about finding You Suck though, because I've been wanting to read a Christopher Moore.

I am very proud of myself for my frugality and patience.

Let me know how it goes!!!

I am affraid they will get lsot. I thought about that to get my books now and then one from Belgium but I am afraid it will get lost and I wouldn't manage that.

don't make me more nuts than I am already...

Joanna, I would say that your local library and inter-library loan system is not as good as you think; unless, of course, you have a very unusual taste in what you like to read! ;o) I very seldom have trouble finding what I want. The only problem I have is that they all seem to come at the same time!

Now that you've publicly confessed, Lindsey, ENJOY! ;o)

uhum...well I guess congratulations ...:-)))))

I suppose you could look at it like this, Alisha, you read three, bought nine, which means you added only six to your original count? Guess we have to blame this all on winter doldrums???

Hahaha, great way of using 'congratulate;!!!!!
I have so far read three books of my TBR books that I own shelf and how did I congratulate myself? By purchasing nine more books.
NO NO - the other way around... read nine purchase 3!!
Like I should talk...

1000 lines of I will not buy any more books please.
"
be careful with your ideas because I have a feeling you might harm yourself more than once Fiona:-)

MM-HMMM!

So that's not my fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just add them to my "to get post book ban" shelf. Oddly enough, that makes me feel better because I know I won't forget them when I'm able to acquire again.

(I'd recommend staying away from animal books, might not be too fun to smell manure all the way through Charlotte's web!)
I'm just kidding of course... But I suppose if the book is going out of print then you can make an exception and buy it. :)

Hehe.
Have you ever watched Existenz? About a computer game you plug into your spine."
That disgusting scene in the restaurant when Jude Law has to eat the "special" would have been enough for me to shout "I'm out!" and go back to The Sims.

:::::: blush::::: sowwry. 50.00 worth.. at least they were on my TBR list.

Still going strong! I even put books into my cart on BN.com, and clicked out without buying anything!
I feel so lucky to have the two-story city library across the street from my work so I can visit on my breaks :)
