Taylor Marie (taylerwattson) | 1 comments I'm looking for a book about a person who can see dead people (preferably not romance), any suggestions?

Pam Williams | 47 comments Have you heard anything about Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children? It's a strange story about a boy who can visit a group of children who died during World War II.

Coby Coyle (BaileyDoubleC) | 1 comments The Summoning- Kelley Armstrong is a book about Chloe, a necromancer (someone who can raise and talk to the dead)...it has a little romance in it in the 2nd/3rd book, but it doesn't really focus on that. Just trying to think of suggestions for you :p

Cassie Johnson (avidreader2) | 8 comments Lily's Ghosts is not super romance-y.
it's a younger book, but it's a fun read.

Shelley (shelleycraycraft) How about Breathe: A Ghost Story by Cliff McNish which is jr/hs level. But awesomely creepy! Also Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, or Sonya Hartnet's The Ghost's Child.

I read it and thought it was wildly inventive. I never read books that handle that time period (it's too hard of a topic for me personally) but the author blended reality and magic to form a world that was completely unique - and a bit funky. It is completely worth reading IMO and I found it very much a one of a kind novel. Ironically, I wish there were more like it.

Barb (barblibrarian1) Okay, this one is really old, and it is kind of a romance, but it is so good...
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir by R.A. Dick The Ghost and Mrs. Muir

Barb (barblibrarian1) Shadowland (The Mediator #1) by Meg Cabot Shadowland
I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Schroeder I Heart You, You Haunt Me (but this one is all done in verse!)

Desiree (ohmyfurandwhiskers) Scary Mary (I don't remember romance being a core element to the story line. It's a quick and good read.)

Jade (noxidanamchara) Frozen Fire by Tim Bowler Frozen Fire Good book about a girl who's looking for her brother and ends up following a spirit who contacts her.

Dead Connection by Charlie Price Dead Connection Not one of my top choices but it was interesting. MPOVs isn't really my thing.

Neither has romance, if I remember correctly. Dead Connection I am least unsure about. Def not Frozen Fire.

Morgan (mlhiggins84) In Anna Dressed in Blood the main character is a ghost hunter. There is a bit of romance but not the lovey dovey kind. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to get my hands on the sequel. It reminded me of the tv show Supernatural.
Anna Dressed in Blood (Anna, #1) by Kendare Blake

I agree about the Supernatural bit. I found myself reminded of the show as well and I loved that about it.
