SOLVED: A girl has two "beaus" that go to war; one dies, so she ends up with the other [s]

I remember this book was like one of those Dear America Diary books (intended for middle schoolers and under). There was a war going on and they were drafting boys into the army. A girl had two guys she was close to (one whom she called her "beau"). They were both drafted into the army. One vaguely dies somehow. The other comes back on a train with a limp (I think he had his leg amputated). At the end it's vague if she ends up marrying the guy with the limp. She definitely loved the one who died first though.

The cover might have some kind of letter/postcard on the front.
