Lisa Kay, I've been listening to DarkFever from Karen Marie Moning (my favorite, ever, EVER UF series), and am SORELY disappointed in the VO talent. So, I'll have to grind through Books 1-3, then DreamFever and ShadowFever have talent who the author picked herself. I haven't listened to enough VO Talent to know who my favorite is, but I'm certainly open to suggestions!!

Ticks...suck? LOL!
Couldn't get into the DarkFever books; they gave me nightmares.
Of course, the In Death are the best narrated, IMHO. But the guy, Robert Petkoff, who did

I remember reading one of the EARLY In Death books in my 20s, but because it wasn't romance, I ditched it. 20+ (did I just say that?) years later, maybe I should revisit - - esp in audio format...Thanks for the info! Gonna go in my "to consider" (non-goodreads) pile. It's nice to listen, for a change. Probably going to start adding an audio book to my reads in July.
Have I said, y'all, yet, that this WLLK group is addictive?!

May Spell It Out
May 1 - May 31
7/7
Can I just say - - Suzanne Collins is just amazing. This trilogy is COMPLETELY addicting!
I've been a Kristan Higgins fan since the beginning. She has 6 books, altogether, I think. The past 2 books have been omniscient voice, not first person, as her first books were. I liked the first person for a romance. It was refreshing, and I thought she was unique. These past two have been "meh" for me. I gave it 4 stars, but it's more like a 3.8 or 3.9.
This is the 2nd in the school for heiresses series. I finished it a week ago and can barely remember it. How's that for a review, LOL?!
I struggled to read this one. the story was entertaining enough, but I just couldn't get into it...
I guess every author has a "miss" every now and again. I think this was only the 3rd book that she published. The concept of a young lady posing as a boy to help her father spy on an earl...I think in the back of my mind, I thought it was clever, but uncomfortable. I gave the .7 star because I like Suzanne Enoch, and will continue to read her, because I really like her wit.
OMG - I don't know what to say - I'm so conflicted. I wish it had taken a less violent turn (I hate violence) and/or ended differently. Her word pictures were gorgeous as always, but the content...I don't know. Still digesting it. First two books were brilliant. This one -- meh. Anyone else who's read the trilogy feel the same way? Am I missing something?
