Ready Player One
question
Oasis planets you would visit.(doesn't have to be from the book)

Just wondering what kind of planets people would visit if they had their very own O.A.S.I.S. machine.
Pern would be pretty cool, the dragons firelizards and dolphins, but threadfall would suck. I was glad when Pern got a mention in the book.
Take me to Azeroth, Halo, Albion, or Skyrim any day of the week
Definately the Firefly planet (galaxy?), the Star Craft universe, maybe even a quick stop off on the World War Z planet.
If I had to keep in the 80's theme I'd go for a Jurassic Park world; but otherwise Pokémon, all the way.
I'd make this planet...
Forks, Washington
Panem
Hogwarts
The Forest of Hands and Teeth

A Jurassic Park theme park, up and running, would be cool, although it's not a planet. A Star Trek or Star Wars themed solar system would be cool. Warhammer 40,000 would be... harrowing, but awesome. A Blade Runner style world would also rock.
When I saw the reference to Firefly I just had every emotion at once.
So if I was in the OASIS I would go to every planet in the Firefly 'verse and sob into the ground with tears of regret and bitterness.

most definitely middle earth. go hang out with some hobbits!
in one of mt all time faverite any world (planets) in star wars universe.... exept hoth look too cold lol
Hogwarts. By far. I'd also do some of the Star Wars planets, except both.
Hogwarts, without a doubt. And if the planet also has the other wizarding schools, I would definitely check those out. I really want to learn more about Ilvermorny, since that's the school I would end up going to if that series was real.
Also, all the original worlds in the Kingdom Hearts series, especially The World That Never Was and Radiant Garden.

Am I the only one who would just make a blank template to completely zone out?
I would like to visit the planet of Doctor Who. Maybe the Doctor would be there himself! I think Star Trek would be pretty cool as well. Imagine the replicators, the holodeck... It would almost be like a mini Oasis within the Oasis.
My world isn't from the 80s, but I'd love to visit the Colorado depicted in Sand by Hugh Howey. I just have this craving to sand dive.
For that matter, a Fullmetal Alchemist-themed world would just... yes.
Edit:
Magrathea from The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was actually mentioned in Ready Player One, so it's legal. This is definitely on the list.
And a Jurassic Park-themed world would also be incredible.

The planet(s?) depicted in the Valerian movie trailer looks pretty cool.
-I'd make a John Hughes planet... Shermer being the capital.
-A Marvel & DC planet, just to see the superheroes live and up close.
-A pre-2000s Tim Burton planet. Or...maybe a macabre planet consisting of things like the early Tim Burton works, Adams Family, etc.
-Star Trek Universe...I know it's cliche, but I don't care.

I think it would be dope if they had a Halo or Gears of War world. I would be all over the Star Wars worlds.
I'd like to play on a Harry Potter world. Farscape too, but they don't really have a planet. Since it's the characters that matter we could just make up a planet and stuff all the characters on it.
As much as I want to say I'd head out into the black and Visit the Firefly 'Verse the truth is that was just a hard, cold place to live.
I'd have to find the planet with non-stop wine, women and song...so like the 80's themselves :)
