Hello...I'm new here. Thank you so much for adding me to the group! I'm excited to share my love of books and wine with like minded friends. My current favorite is Monchhof Estate Rielsing from Germany. I enjoy trying new wines, and we have several good wineries and award-winning wines in my area.

Welcome, Debra!I had two wines today: I had a Vinho Tinto from Portugal which I didn't like very much, and then I said fuck that and opened a bottle of Toscana instead. Mmmm.....
I usually prefer whites to reds, but over the holidays I tried a L'Ecole Cab from Walla Walla Valley that was very good.
Welcome wine-drinking reader! I'm glad you can recommend some white wines. Everyone seems to focus on reds. I'll drink anything and I like some diversity. I'm much more particular about my books than I am about my wines.
Hello fellow winos and readers!! I'm Gail from central California. I'm new to this group and goodreads. Unfortunately, I usually go through periods where I will read like crazy and then I won't read anything for a few months. I'm not as inconsistent with wine though. I've been into Pinot Noirs lately. Tomorrow I actually have to go to Napa for a work conference for a few days. I have a sneaking suspicion that there will be some wine tasting involved!! I'm glad to meet all of you. :)
Welcome to the group, Dispatcher! We are all pretty lax here. Some of us are regular monthly readers, others meander through month-to-month, depending on the book choice. You'll fit right in.
@goodreads: "You will always be the bread and the knife, not to mention the crystal goblet and—somehow—the wine." http://t.co/k75fhIrc2n #quoteofthedayFrom Goodreads on Twitter-seemed apropos ;-)
Abbie wrote: "Are you drinking again?"Abbie, she's a good friend of mine from the greater Goodreads world. She's in like, 800 other book clubs, though, so I'd be surprised if we hear a lot from her.
Hi everyone - thanks for letting me be part of the group. I'm from Florida but orig from Long Island and loving some of the wines up there. Some great ice wine...Viognier, Pinot Noir. All good. Books and wine--great combo!!
I love red wine and so do ya'll. I read books and you guys and gals do too...I like learning about wine, finding deals on wine and mostly drinking it! Good luck.We have a small wine growing region in Arkansas but it is mostly wines that rednecks crave...thank God for the West Coast and its grapes!
Well I still consider myself a new member. I requested to join awhile ago, but I haven't been able to let myself be known! My name is Ashley, and I am from southeastern PA. Wine and books are two of my favorite things in life, so when I came across this group, I was so hyped!
I enjoy reading mysteries and historical fiction. As for wines, I enjoy white wines. My favorite at the current moment is Chardonnay.
Thank you for welcoming me and it's nice to meet all of you!
Nice to meet you, Ashley! I'm still reading February's book because life is crazy right now but it will calm down soon and then I will be back to my old reading self.Lately I've been drinking more beer and whisky than wine, but don't tell anybody.
By the way I LOVE that you follow Wil Wheaton.
Thank you, Jason! I think he's cool! We were both reading Game of Thrones at the same time at one point, which I thought was pretty cool too. Glad to be a part of the group!
my daddy be Ahab, and he finally found the blessed white whale!! ah ha. this seems to be a defunct thread, but hello, I'm Jenny. I am from California, but not the one you are thinking of. go north, keep going, no, no, wayyyyyy past san fran, okay, now go east, nope more, now increase the elevation... allll the way... yep, there u go! well, that's where I grew up and that's where my heart is anyway. stuck in the bay area now.
I can read and sip wine, or I can drink wine and play around on goodreads, but that's about all I can handle. :)
