"Aww! No! Don't go!!" Laya suddenly wanted her to stay. "Someone can hate my parents with me!"
Laya frowned. "Can I go with you? The EES have to be stopped."
"Yeah can i come too? i can't go home until they are stopped"
Laya frowned and her eyes hardened. "That, and you seem to be the only one that can control my power. I will not stay here, caged like an animal."
Laya frowned. She'd just follow her, then.
Laya fought the urge to pout and tried to remain expressionless. "You wouldn't be going with us. We'd be going with you."
Laya waited, not saying anything.
"Why? i'm not that annoying"
Lauren had to restrain herself from punching her. She had made it a personal rule not to attack anyone under the age of 15.
Laya grinned. "She finds you annoying, I think."
"oh course i can be sometimes but i'm not that bad. am i?"
Laya laughed a bit. "Say what you like, when you attack, you can be sure I'll be there."
Lyla started crying (and it started pouring) "You don't like me?"
"Didn't say I was following you. Didn't say I was staying with you. I just know I'll be there when you attack." She shrugged. She looked at Lyla. "Really depends on who you are."
"Didn't say you had to like me." She shrugged.
"Okay i'll control myself i'll act like i'm invisible you won't even know i'm there."
"And I want to be normal." She shrugged again. She knew that she was annoying Lauren, to put it nicely. She also knew she was not going to be like her mother.

Laya had suspected as much. She calmly got up looked at Lauren. She swung her arm back and punched her in the face, then brought her knee to her stomach. Thank god for those tai-kwon-do lessons.
Lauren didn't even blink. Living in the wild did that to you. She flipped Laya upside down, sending her sprawling on the ground. Then she slung her pack over her shoulder, and headed for the entrance.
Laya got back up. She'd gone through worse in training. Her eyes went expressionless and dark at once, and suddenly a thunderstorm was raging outside. She really needed to learn to control that.
Laya pursed her lips, determined to gain control. When she couldn't even feel the flow of power, she started to panic. "Please!" She ran out into the storm. "I can't stop..." She was close to sobbing as she fell to the ground.
Laya lay there and tried to find the magic. "No wonder you fought... You're heartless. You've let rage blind you." She laughed maniacally. She was going crazy... "It's raining, it's pouring..."
((huh... didn't expect that at all...))

((me either. creepy!))
Lauren turned, eyes flashing. "I don't need your scrutiny, you crazy maniac!"

((lol, I know!!))
"Raining, pouring, old man snoring..." She laughed again. She couldn't find the magic, the control. She had not training. She had nothing. "Fetch a pail of water..."

Lauren rolled her eyes. This girl had no control over her power. Angrily, she ran over to her, and smashed her in the face. Physical contact was the only way to get her back.
Laya blinked. That hurt. She realized she was in the rain, the lightning. She looked for a way to stop it. Where was it... Where was it... "WHERE IS IT?!?!" She screamed. "Where is it hiding..."
Laya blinked some more... There it was... Hiding, but found. She desperately grabbed onto it and slowly stopped the storm. Her eyes cleared and she found she was cold, but didn't care. "I thought I could control it..." She whispered.
"How do I control it?" She asked her. "Will you at least tell me a little bit?"
Lauren leaned against the doorframe, her jacket hanging loose. "Instead of letting it flow freely, order it to come. That's all I'm going to say."
