Dustin Karpovich Personally I prefer reading in paperback form since it doesn't hurt my eyes like certain e-readers so if I were to publish I would probably pick both formats of ebooks and paperback to get to a wider audience.

As a reader, I prefer paperbacks. As a writer, I am pleased to have the opportunity to be published in both formats, although I sell more e-books.

At the risk of being boring! I completely echo what Rhonda has said.

Eve Collier I enjoy both.

Sadie Forsythe | 16 comments I agree with Y.I. and Rhonda on both points. I prefer paperbacks really, but I spend a lot of time commuting by bus and my ereader is just more convenient at these times.

Bryn Hammond (brynhammond) Most fiction, now, I get in ebook. I just love to have a hundred choices on the bus, and there is seriously not much room left in my flat. Paperbacks for treasured fiction. I need my non-fiction in paperback, to make marks in and use the index and notes - ebooks are way too hard to consult.

Darian As a reader I love paperback; there's nothing quite like the feeling of a crisp new book in my hands. I can't quite curl up the same with a tablet to read an ebook, and they give me headaches no matter how much I fiddle with the brightness settings.

But as a writer, I'm very happy to be able to provide both, especially since the majority of my sales come from ebooks. I think if I didn't offer that, I would be missing out on a big market of readers.

Kay Vincent (kayvin) | 3 comments Never thought I would get on with an e-book but I got one for my birthday and I am really enjoying reading from it. Although, saying that my book shelves are heaving and I can't see that changing, if I love a book I have to have the paper version.

Kate Lynch (kateolynch) | 2 comments I too never thought I'd want to switch to an eReader, however after receiving a Kindle Fire for Christmas, I'm hooked. After reading several books on the Kindle I switched back to a paperback and was worried about damaging it (it wasn't mine) and I had gotten used to not having to leave the light on when reading before bed.

Plus it was after receiving the Kindle I decided to look into self-publishing since my novel had actually been finished for several years.

Aderyn Wood (aderynwood) I like reading both. However, I am reading mostly on my iPad these days. I think it has something to do with the ease of it. If I want a book, now, I can just download it rather than having to drive in to the shops, and there's no guarantee our local bookstore will stock it anyway!

Also, I recently went away on a cycling trip for a week. Rather than having to lug around maps and the novels I am reading I just put them all on the iPad, which is much lighter and convenient.

I Agree with Kate too. Having some kind of e reader means you can read at night without the light on, so my partner prefers me to read ebooks now so that he can get to sleep!
